Also, if going with family, the older member (eg parents/grandparents) may not be able to accept the "hostel" or "backpacker's inn" concept.

Somehow, I managed to convince my 60yo dad to stay at HK hostel, and it was huge savings on accommodation!

Yea, i hope i can convince my mum to stay there too or else it gonna cost us a bomb imagine 4nights for about 1.9k? Sigh.

Those are S'pore HDB flats. To accommodate 5 ppl, you'll need 2 rooms and 1 extra mattress, about S$150-170/night.. Maybe can E-mail and ask for discount if stay 4 nights??

not sure this fits y our budget, you can try visit Roberston Quay hotel site. They do have a family room for 4 at $200/N. Sorry, not sure how many of you going there. Hotel located near Clark Quay area and within walking distance to Clark Quay MRT, NE Line. Just few stops away from City Hall MRT.

Time is running out. Some budget hotel had been snapped up.

can try out IBIS hotel. seems a very nice hotel.

Ibis hotel is ~$125/N for 2 and room is not spacious. This is a budget hotel so right in Bugis area.

I think the Metro expo sale was over last weekend. There might be sales not really published in the press, like BHG having 20%, not sure till went, but bought something there at Bugis branch with 20% discount on Sunday.

i always aim for 50% or more discount, or one longgok one, it's cheaper when convert to RM

but it's not a must to shop there, i also enjoy window shopping
