You can't blame ppl like smooth Jazz and other kind of music, it's dependable of one's taste.

I started with smooth Jazz, slowly now i enjoy fusion jazz and going for classic jazz like Swing, Bebop 

I have couple of Herbie Hancock album such as New Standard and River - The Joni Letters.

Please recommend your favorite album in CDs of Miles Davis and John Coltrane. I will try to listen them.

I would recommend The Way Up by Pat Metheny Group and recently i bought Live by Brad Mehldau Trio, it's a live recording,  not bad though.

Rhythm & Romance

My girlfriend recommends me Enya, and I say her song is just astonishing! I heard her song before, but never know who sang them. It makes me hallucinating, feels afloat. Wonderful lyrics, melodious music. Its just heavenly. Song that I loved is Only Time and Orinoco Flow

maybe you would like "Emmy Rossum - Inside Out" too, she sounds like enya.

I like Chopin's pieces more, in fact i'm learning to play most of his pieces, especially love Fantasie Impromptu 

Rachmaninoff is nice too, the big hand guy. Respect

(Note: It's not Classic Jazz, Funk Jazz, Fusion Jazz, it may offend someone who only like those; Smooth Jazz is good start for novice like me)

a) Brian Simpson - Above the Clouds
b) Mezzoforte - Forward Motion

Coldplay's first album, Parachutes, Side A. It grows on you.

Jazz at the Pawnshop doesn't work that great on headphones though. The soundstage feels a bit strange with headphones.

Nope, they don't. I do like the booklets they give with CDs, but  the booklet scans are usually included in the torrent *cough cough*. I think I didn't get the scans when I downloaded it off torrentflux though...

Kind of Blue - Miles Davis - original recorded in 1959, one of the greatest jazz album not to be missed.

I have tried looking for this CD and finally found it in one of local CD shops in KL.

Earlier digital remastering on LP and later on CD, sounded thin.

However, this CD is a reissue, it was remixed on an all-tube three-track machine, the instruments sound rich and full, like real instrument, nice soundstage.
