I'm also afraid that if I enter TOA DG/MD, i will not be able to cope with the traditional drawing stuff too.. digital should be okay because I have already get used to it.. about traditional drawing... the last time I drew is like.. 2 year ago? I still remember I attend art class from primary school (standard 1) till form 3... stopped the class during form 4 jan because homeworks and tuitions stuff.... sigh laugh.gif but good thing was, during 2011 year end I met Digital Art, which replaced my interest for traditional art! thumbup.gif

I know I will be able catch up, but I'm abit lagging at the start because of lack of background. It's just that sometimes I very jelly with some of my friends, they get their assignments done pretty quick >.< Like today, first time I hold brush.... use poster colour for design class... Feel so now, my friend beside me like expert liao  cry.gif
I'm just abit worried about Drawing and the Design class. I'm having a hard time constructing those straight lines and curves (especially circles...) very difficult, I find myself always erasing and erasing  cry.gif
To me, these are my least preferred classes >.<
Figure studies is my number one choice  thumbup.gif

So many traditional art projects.. how about digital arts.. digital painting and stuffs like that? sad.gif
I'm really, really reallyyyy weak in traditional art right now..... will shit brix if lecturer keep giving traditional art homeworks like (figure drawing..e.ge.g)

Anyways, do you have any other target besides TOA? Maybe any other overseas institutes? hmm.gif

Yes I do have other targets besides TOA... for Malaysia, maybe MMU for multimedia design? (I'm still not sure which path should I take... Digital animation or Multimedia design... really rclxub.gif now... Have been thinking for weeks already..) For Singapore, NAFA (nanyang academy of fine arts) or the NSW in Australia..
I'm still researching duh.. (for scholarships and e.g)

ARHHHHHG HEADACHE, DIGITAL ANIMATION OR MULTIMEDIA DESIGN?!

I know the requirements but I was wondering, with 5As, what are the chances of getting a scholarship? and does TOA accept trials results?

I missed the Outstanding award competition, so my hope of getting a scholarship lies in external scholarships i'm guessing doh.gif

I'm planning to take Diploma in illustration, but wondering, how much the total cost doh.gif All my friends saying that TOA very expensive + alot of hidden costs? Anyone can elaborate?

I got 10As, but no chance of getting shortlisted for the interview (external scholarship). I dunno.. so .. yeah.. irony is I got myself another interview offer from the another uni
hidden costs usually r the material cost.. equipment maybe?? etc..
I've a friend who's studying in toap now, ptptn loan won't cover all.. u can only boro a certain amount like around 20k? smile.gif so yea its up to you, if u have th money then go for it.

completely agree with you. before i study multimedia, i already research the salary and the demands. but then i dont wanna waste my life doing things that im not enjoy just to get alot of money. so far it already 1 years and im enjoy doing the assignment and all (because it something that i love). i didnt even stress compare to my friend(their parent force them to study "demand course") where they end up being miserable and regret. if u doing things that you like and interest then u never bored, u feel like doing a hobby rather than work.
