i think ill pass on that... if the first one crack doesnt mean this new one wont.. hehe unless its 3rd party with good quality... how bout instead of rubber+plastics, they make steel+rubber... should last whole life... even better use stainless steel..

To the GH pros out there, I want to make the jump to hard and expert from medium. I can more or less 5 star (and to a lesser extent FC some of the easier ones )most of the songs on the list though i still have some problems with BYOB, Satch Boogie and Hot for teacher. Got any hints that might help me on my path to becoming a guitar god?

Make sure you use the combination of the tap bar.....
I used it to tap out alot of the very fast single notes instead of strumming.

I think for me the main problem at the moment is the orange notes - read somewhere you should slide down the frets depending on whether green or orange is dominant. But when i do that, because my brain is thinking of colour coordination rather than finger positioning after playing 2 weeks on medium, i go kelam kabut. Ya guess its practice, but the learning curve is not as lenient anymore sad.gif

watching youtube videos of byob fcs are both awe inspiring yet depressing at the same time lol.

Agreed. I find Expert on GH:WT not as "expert" as it was in GH3. The difficulty was modeled after Aerosmith anyway.

Yeah you're right - no experience of GH3 here. Will try to get it at a later point 2nd hand. Heard that the expert on GHWT was overcharted which would mean that GH3 is over over charted?

In any case, I'm very very tempted to get a RB1 set. Any idea if they're planning to release RB2 for Asian consoles?

Oh yes, another thing about my V-Drums kit......

When setting up for Guitar Hero: World Tour, it's definitely very easy to play, as the Yellow Crash and Orange Crash is really dedicated to those..... which means I can set my Hi-hat and ride to Yellow, while my Crash can be dedicated to Orange. Even the Blue and Green toms are almost exclusive.

While in Rock Band, I had to configure my Right crash as Green as well as my floor tom, and then a single Blue tom, and 3 Yellow (Hi-Hat, Ride and 1 tom) Because they keep using that for different things.

So in terms of playing it like a real set of drums, Guitar Hero: World Tour wins hands down.

Even the ION drum rocker, It's basically the same setup as my V-Drums.
1 Crash, 1 Ride, 1 Hi-Hat, 3 Toms, 1 Snare, one bass pedal. Only I have a Snare Control (open/close snare) that can't be used in the games anyway.....

It's just the way the map out the Toms as either a crash or tom, just doesn't feel fantastic.

But if you think about it,it's better just to use the drums that were made FOR the game tongue.gif
Can't wait for the GoodWoods mod for GHWT,so getting that.
I also need the ones for the Rock Band drums. My drums are already starting to very occasionally drop notes.

If the drums that were made FOR the games were any good, I wouldn't have flushed 5k down the toilet tongue.gif

Besides, smashing the crash cymbal then a tom is sooooooooo much more satisfying.

I just uploaded the theme song for Friends under the name "I'll Be There".I don't know how the Terms of Use will take it,seeing as it is a copyrighted song. There have been a few copyrighted songs that were deleted, including Rick Roll(under the name "Never Gonna Give")
SO DOWNLOAD IT NAO,SUCKAZ!!

Today I successfully managed to take out the Guitar Hero "Brain" and Midi Port and made my own home made control box...... so I don't have to have a big drumset that does nothing cluttering my already small room.

Will post pics of my "franken-box" later.
