QUOTE(wintzen @ Nov 14 2008, 06:49 AM) RM 700+ at GH. QUOTE(chinook @ Nov 14 2008, 08:43 AM) i usually hit the toms with the round thing on the top of the stick (sorry, i dont know all the correct drum terms). with the cymbals, i use a lil bit of the stick body to hit em. by doing this, i can hit the cymbal lighter and yet still get all my hits registered without fail. It's called the tip of the stick. i was doing this all the while with the yellow cymbal cuz it's on the left (i usually hit the yellow with my right) that's why i didn't notice anything on the yellow. But as soon as i tried hitting the yellow cymbal like how i would a tom, it didnt register all of my hits. after a lil experimenting i finally got it to work properly with the method above =D On my set, the yellow cymbal got less or almost no sensitivity around the edge of the cymbal. It register properly when I hit the center of the cymbal. Others are ok. I only have two complains about the instruments: 1. The touch strip label of the guitar should be on the itself to make it more visible, instead on the strip. 2. Wish the cymbals can be rise higher and can adjust its tilt degree. QUOTE(MK84 @ Nov 14 2008, 09:12 AM) Got 'em! Wish they put Voodoo Chile (Slight Return) in the pack too. Anyone bought Another Way to Die? The GHWT version missed the orchestral background. I want the movie version wan... QUOTE(blacktrix @ Nov 14 2008, 10:37 AM) Maybe your hand was too fast I've been using the GH2 controller all these while and I felt a huge improvement using GHWT controller. |

Spent too much time on drums that my drumstick and the pads looked a lil bit seasoned already. I wonder if anybody going to release replacement pads/skin soon...
Oh...Van Halen's Hot for Teacher and Blink 182's Damnit drums are damn tough even on Easy! Or I just got no sense of rhythm at all. This post has been edited by chapree: Nov 18 2008, 11:24 PM |

QUOTE(blacktrix @ Nov 21 2008, 09:30 AM) Crap. Now I'M having problems with the red snare. I cranked the sensitivity waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay up, but it's hardly responding. Drum rolls for songs like On the Road Again is impossible to play now...... sigh.......... might have to return it to Gamer's Hideout now.......... QUOTE(mambo @ Nov 21 2008, 11:10 AM) My red snare also went loco. Two days ago, the sensitivity went lower and lower. Yesterday night, it doesn't register hits at all, even with tremendous whacking.I'm going to retune it next week and then see whether it will change or not. QUOTE(alex5813 @ Nov 21 2008, 03:42 PM) Gamers Hideout selling Mad Catz mic stand for RM 130. This stand featured gamepad holder for PS2/PS3, 360 and Wii.Alternatively, you can visit nearest music instruments shop. They usually have it. |

QUOTE(blacktrix @ Nov 27 2008, 03:26 PM) The problem, is the wire connecting the sensors. It's held together by a small piece of rubber cement, which can easily come loose after constant drumming.... especially the Red pad. Well, let's see how my current set hold up 1st, then maybe I try your reinforcement fix.For the past few days, I couldn't figure out why the stupid pad STILL gives problems, even though it's a brand new set. So I tak boleh tahan and opened up the kit. I noticed that the wires that were holding it down already lost contact with the metal piece, so I removed the glue and use electrical tape to hold it down. Also, I snipped of come of the wire casing so more of the contact point is exposed. Tape it all down and run it through the tuning kit to balance the drums and now it works AMAZINGLY. Chapree..... I suspect this is the same problem for you as well. It's a very through guide, thanks for sharing! |

QUOTE(mambo @ Dec 5 2008, 04:01 PM) For those who asked about the free MIDI cable from Red Octane...the answer is no, they don't ship to Malaysia. Exact quote from Red Octane support: QUOTE Unfortunately Red Octane does not ship to Malaysia currently. If you wish to tune the sensitivity on your drum set, then you may need to purchase a standard midi cable to use with the tuning software. Please note that not all midi cables have been known to work with the tuning software, however this may be your only option to tune the sensitivity on the drum set. |

QUOTE(blacktrix @ Dec 8 2008, 07:17 PM) Heh. My dad was playing with the new free rubbered drumsticks from Gamer's Hideout, and it snapped in two. Blame La Bamba Well, I personally dun really like the Mad Catz stick. It doesn't bounce well and I have to ketuk kuat2 as my kit sensitivity is not high enough to play light. That being said, what drumsticks are you guys using? QUOTE(Kyoyagami @ Dec 8 2008, 10:38 PM) Hurm, i have myself here the GHWT guitar bundle and it says there it's PAL. Is it actually region free? Cuz I'm sort of afraid it won't play on asian consoles. Here in Malaysia, we all receive the PAL version. |

QUOTE(trogdor1oh1 @ Dec 9 2008, 12:08 PM) That depends. Sometimes for harder songs like Tom Sawyer and Green Grass and High Tides that have 16th beat hi-hat hittings,I use the Rock Band drumsticks. Same goes for World Tour with Everlong. They're nice and light,so it's easy to hit fast. But for easier songs that don't go that fast,I use my real drumsticks, because they're nice and heavy,so they feel right and they don't drop notes so easily. QUOTE(blacktrix @ Dec 9 2008, 12:17 PM) My dad uses the light Guitar Hero drumstick for his left hand, and then a heavier DW one for his right hand. Hmm, what size, type (hickory, oak, maple, metal etc) and brands did those stick have? I mean those non-GH or RB drumsticks.blacktrix: Why your dad use two different stick? QUOTE(trogdor1oh1 @ Dec 10 2008, 12:12 PM) HAHAHAHA! Poyo la kau. |

QUOTE(blacktrix @ Dec 14 2008, 10:36 PM) Added on December 15, 2008, 6:44 pmOh yeah. I found a USB-MIDI unit for RM65 at All IT in Low Yat today. Pretty cheap if you want to use the Tuner software. QUOTE(trogdor1oh1 @ Dec 16 2008, 10:26 AM) Oh by the way,did you guys hear about Guitar Hero Metallica? GH: Metallica is coming around March 2009 according to this: http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/16/guitar-h...-in-early-2009/Of course you did,but I bet you guys don't know that it's gonna be based off the World Tour engine,so it will feature Guitar,Bass,Vocals and Drums It will feature classics such as Master of Puppets,Enter Sandman(inb4lrn2rockband),Fuel,and Sad but True. Just like Guitar Hero Aerosmith,it will be about 60% Metallica, 40% their personal choices, including Lynyrd Skynard,Judas Priest,Foo Fighters,Slayer and Queen. Although it's not compatible with all GH3 or World Tour DLC,it will pick up your Death Magnetic DLC. Also, yay no sign of any St.Anger music I'm wishing for a double pedal expansion for this game. Come on, it's Ulrich we talking about here... QUOTE(terranova @ Dec 17 2008, 12:59 PM) I want Bee Gees DLC...Abba too. /runs and hide with terra |

Anyone have tried to redeem GHWT free DLC's? --> http://freemusic.guitarhero.com/
QUOTE(kaypopotamus @ Dec 17 2008, 03:03 PM) hey guys, just bought my super bundle from GH yesterday!..seeing its my first time with the drums, i dont know if i'm making a wrong observation or is this a real problem... i find that the sensitivity on the blue and yellow is much less compared to the others... The default sensitivity is pretty much random I believe. The only way is to retune it to your satisfaction.its like i can 'roll' on the red and green with ease..and orange too.. but i cant roll on the blue and yellow... its like machine gun, trrrr-pause-trrrrrr-pause... any advice? |

QUOTE(kaypopotamus @ Dec 17 2008, 07:20 PM) noob questions: Q1: You have to obtain the USB-MIDI cable and download the tuner software from GH website. Red Octane is not sending the cable to Malaysia, so you have to either buy or borrow it from somebody.1) how do i retune it? are there any ways i can do it in the game? 2) 3) any way to cheat and download more than 5? haha Q3: Hahaha, got...read the previous posts. But then, think it this way...isn't that they will email you back for instructions to download those DLCs? Who knows, they might actually filter out those application that bypassed "owner ID" thing. |

QUOTE(trogdor1oh1 @ Dec 17 2008, 09:14 PM) There will be an "expert plus" difficulty for drums which will allow you to add a 3.5mm jack splitter to your pedal output and add an additional pedal to play double bass notes. My bad my bad. The sauce, straight from camp Metallica themselves: http://www.metallica.com/index.asp?item=601719 QUOTE(kaypopotamus @ Dec 17 2008, 09:48 PM) anyways this 65 bucks cable, can i use it to tune sensitivity? and if i bring it back to GH they can help ah? GH has the cable, so since you bought it at GH, I'm sure they'll be more than glad to tune it for you. This post has been edited by chapree: Dec 17 2008, 11:10 PM |
