I suppose you mean clearing it when you clear private data?

When you clear private data including the history, it gets cleared but the address bar will still display matches from your bookmarks.

So what you see in the address book even after clearing private data is actually the matches from your bookmarks. It will remain there unless perhaps you delete all your bookmarks which I'm sure you wouldn't want to do so.
