i'd like to meat up with people who play guitar hero,ddr and beatmania players on like msn or steam or whatever.

so,uh,i play in the groove on pc,and occasionally dance dance revolution extreme at arcades and on ps2.
i don't play beatmania,because it costs too much to import.
i play guitar hero(you know me )

to the dude that loves birds in soup,pc mics will only work on rock band(any platform) if its usb and doesn't need drivers.

i got an ahem copy that came free with my 3rd party guitar(i had no idea it was in,i swear).but i got lost,and was scratched to death to start off with.
you can always find one on ebay or play-asia.
they also have the songs as dlc for guitar hero 2 on 360,if you have it and have the moneys.

well guitar hero 4 definately worth waiting as it is not a ripoff from rockband...its drums has 5 colours and more realistic with 2 crash cymbals unlike rockband...plus u can record new tracks..just cudnt wait...
im an owner of guitar hero 2 and 3..going to get either rockband or guitar hero 4...u can have one playing the bass and another friend playing the guitar..Plus it is an amazing collection too..
im an expert player....maybe it will be cool to have a tournment or jamming session with guitar hero or rockband..

i'll get 2 guitar hero controllers,one rb drums,one gh4 drums,and i've got the entire set for both games.

i really like the compatibility of guitars.

Saving money for the ASC, after o2jam closed not much music game to play, so giving beatmania iidx a try since it has 7 keys like o2jam, just additional of the turntable.

Oh just curious, whats the different between the ASC and the normal one?

ASC is overly expensive,but its exactly like the arcade one.it's for those who like to collect or are just really used to playing the arcade version.
the normal one is just your regular beatmania controller,7keys and turntable and all....its for your everyday consumer that just wants to play beatmania.

same goes with other games,but i personally feel there's no difference.i played guitar freaks at the arcade and on the regular controller,and they both felt the same:stiff and digusting compared to the Guitar Hero controller.

where to buy beatmania controller? i need it badly...

well need some tips how 2 play GH w/ a guitar..
i'm really sux using a guitar controller more than using DS3...

average is 3 star only in normal mode...
but using DS3 i can get 5 star average in normal mode...

you can get the pc one.
it may be a spec hog,but there are mods to play it with a black background(it's really plain,but the fun's still there).

also the pc one is good for custom songs.i have hilarious stuff in it like still alive from portal,tenacious d,and other random things.

the pc one comes with the xplorer guitar,which can be used on the 360 if you get one ever.

My first love for music games was DDR. So far I have bought so many DDR pads that i've lost count (maybe 10 or more). Its those lousy ones that looses sensitivity after a few months haha.

I also own a Konami IIDX Controller (not ASC) and a lousy guitar freaks guitar. Have yet to try Rock Band or Guitar Heroes though need to spend a lot

If you guys are from melaka and visit the arcade, you probably could've spotted me there every weekend on the Dancing Stage or Rock Fever 4 about 2-4 years ago xD

Currently now very hardcore in Pump It Up..just wish that there's a PIU machine here in Melaka



I'm not sure if you can get it in any shops here in malaysia, probably shops in SG are selling. I got mine through Lik-Sang but its already closed down. Play-asia has it too.

You're playing para para mode or freestyle mode? well for para para mode just go n memorize the dance xD for freestyle mode..just stand there n swing ur hands all around like a retard. You really would look very stupid playing the hardest songs on freestyle mode, but i still play it anyway

But if you're really serious asking, try setting high speed by accessing the options menu (hold down left and right during song selection). Also, stand in position (not moving left and right like para para mode) and swing ur hands straight out and full or u might not hit the arrows.

Bear in mind too that the timing for hitting greats is to hit it slightly slower than the beat. And also remember that para para is a hand game so there may be many arrows, but just swinging ur hands around u cant hit 'em (unlike DDR) so try and learn the note patterns. A lot of them are easier than u think.

Sorry if i'm talking too much >.< but not many music gamers here in melaka, so i'm always excited to meet music gamers especially so many serious ones

it's an unstable beta,but you should keep it just for online and widescreen support(it also has para para mode )

but i play in the groove instead.it's more stable and the style is just overall sexy.

yeah i use ddr pads for stepmania.i'm using a modded soft pad(modded it with my dad,father and son bonding time ) with a ps-pc converter.

But for a regular o2Jam player,that's just normal.
For a regular Stepmania or Beatmania player,that is teh suck.

I personally say that's great,because I suck at o2Jam(mainly because of overcharted songs,arch0wl should do more).
