QUOTE(sHawTY @ May 14 2008, 07:21 PM) It's fake. There's no way a 120MM fan running at 2000RPM able to produce 90CFM while only producing 19dBA of noise. Unless the tester put the noise detector far far away from the fan, then that's another story, but that would be cheating. tis fan only moves around 65+CFM, but silencer then those evercool 2000rpms... which move around same cfm.. if compare with my panaflo side by side, u can feel cm fan is weaker... my panaflo fan rated 83cfm... so in the end i still feel tht tis fan quite worth since its silencer then vizo and evercool fans... and also looks unique... QUOTE(AllnGap @ May 18 2008, 01:26 AM) my papst's performance solid or not ? the papst's fan running nice... but currently using the CM fan on my radiator... trying tis CM fan, the airflow higher then the papst... now finding a DC voltage converter which can step up the voltage to around 17-20v...i think the papst fan shall shine at tht voltage since its 24v fan... u got any idea of getting those DC voltage converter? stepping up the voltage from 12v to around 15-20v...

CM fan is cheaper cause its sleeve bearing, which have shorter life span compare to ball bearings fan... u will notice some other bearing type as well, magnetic-fluid etc..

i must say although the CM fan doesnt give 90cfm, but for the noise ratio + air flow moved + its a LED fan, for rm30-35 its a good buy in my opinion...

QUOTE(sukhoi37 @ Jul 5 2008, 09:05 PM) LED easy kaput, fake dba and cfm. I lol hard at those who believe the specs. (mostly noobs) although it doesnt push real 90cfm and easy kaput LED, its still ok for me comparing with my evercool fan which is noisier, same CFM and no LED.. for the noise for an 60cfm fan is not bad ady...

QUOTE(clawhammer @ Sep 2 2010, 11:30 AM) If you're using as a CPU cooler or radiator fan, the static pressure matters a lot. It's not the cfm really Artic cooling f12 will easily dapao CM 90cfm fan. Better bearings, higher static pressure... not sure for airflow though... and another thing f12 beat CM 90cfm, u dun have to worry about leaked oil from bearing and dead LEDs from CM...
