Wouldn't it be nice to have an answering machine app? Sometimes I miss a few calls because of the damn ringer volume so low!

i think TS was asking, was there any anwering machine like those in PPC where the application pick up your call and record so you can listen to it whenever u want without calling your voicemail station.
some programs even lets u backup to your pc sometimes, i think lowyatian answer question quite harsh, i mean, a simple "no" or just ignore the thread is still ok cheers, 2 sen |

Calling to the Providers Voicemail box cost both the caller and the receiver.
I hate voicemails cause its irrational to cost both parties. If there's this program that can save the voicemail on the phone itself. That's a Welcome addition... And yup.. quite agreeing with spoonkin, dun speak if you don't have an appropriate answer. Most users doesn't like the obvious being spelt out. Mr Obvious. |

I'm just wondering if there's anyone who lives outside the US who actually uses an answering machine or voicemail. I used to leave voicemail but nobody actually listens to them

or maybe just wait until iPhone is officially launched with our telcos here, and then u have Visual Voicemail! hehehe...
but as for the time being, nope, there's still no answering machine app on the iPhone (as far as i know). mmm...i seconded on what tishaban had said. not only me giving up talking to the voicemail, but people that calls my phone too. they find SMS to be a better way if no one answers the call. I remember my old samsung had an answering machine facilty, I could record a quick message and leave it in silent mode. That was really cool, not paying double (like voicemail) just to hear a message.
I'm sure someone is working on this right now, or even it'll be a native app (no way.. got visual voicemail). This post has been edited by komputer: May 15 2008, 11:11 AM |
