Hi all,

This is my first time to post in this thread so i don't know whether i can post here but it is related on property. From this thread, i saw some postings regarding renovation but how about wiring part ? Meaning fixing new lights, fans, aircons and etc. What are the cost to budget for this kind of works. I know that some people that engage the electrician to provide the lights, fans and etc as well. What if i were to buy all the stuff then only ask the electrician to settle. Will that be cheaper ?

Please give me your opinion and also electrician recomendation is helpful.

I just had someone installed lightings @ RM25 per unit (flourescent, philips tube + starter), and fans @ RM155 per unit (KDK) on my new unit in Wangsa Maju. Before that I've checked around, lightings would cost around RM12 to RM15.. fans RM110 to RM130.. so can save some if DIY and have some knowledge of electricity.

Hope this helps..

Yeah forgot to mention the fan type is 3 blades with standard *wired* speed controller. Din get the remote fans coz I'm renting out the unit and afraid the remote might got lost/damage.

Btw, usually these guys they don't really mind if you buy the fans and ask them to install for ya. Their main income should be from labour charges.
