where u fish?use float la

use a float instead of weight if u wanna avoid tangling and to let the fish to freely feed on ur bait.once the fish bite u pull slowly and jerk the line once if u feel the fish did bite to make sure the hook is attached to the fish firmly...

if there is too much roots below the spot where u throw ur bait, use a float so the hook will not reach the bottom and nothing to get tangled to the roots. if use weight, use it at where there is only sand or mud below.so when u pull ur line up, the weight will not get tangled or stuck at the roots because there is no roots to get stucked at.
