er..size 4 if not mistaken.

i've seen before ppl use metal rod to become sinker the metal rod is about a palm's size. weigh like size 6 or 7 mia sinker.

maybe your dad didn't clean the fish well before cooking?
to disperse the fish smell, just sprinkle abit of lemon or lime on top of the fish and leave it there for a while. then cook it.
a small part of the smell if be gone.

what kind of fishing you do with ur dad?? saltwater fishing or freshwater fishing?
