i think u need to change the whole car key system... that almost cost u RM1k...
for myvi, car key with immobilizer feature will work together with ECU... even duplicate key cant start the engine also... if proton can update the ECU to match with ur new car key will be the best... otherwise u have to buy new ECU instead together with new car key system...  |

even can open the car door by remote control thru handphone...
but without car key how to drive the car...  |
