however, some application may still having sound problem after installing libflashsupport.. one way that i tried after installing it, create a file named /etc/asound.conf and paste the following config:

CODE

pcm.pulse {
type pulse
}
ctl.pulse {
type pulse
}
pcm.!default {
type pulse
}
ctl.!default {
type pulse
}

I have 2 HDD, 1st si 40GB with 10GB allocated for windows, another 10GB ready for Ubuntu, the rest is empty.

My question is, the 2nd hdd 160GB contains most of my personal data, i wonder what impact will be if i boot ubuntu and try to use the 2nd hdd?

i understand it's a stupid question, but it's my first in ubuntu, please advise. thanks!

emmm...I m using ubuntu 8.04 now.  Didn't realise ubuntu's visual effect is much 'keng' than windows vista.  laugh.gif The whole dialog box can swell & crooked when u drag it and sliding effect when u move to the next desktop.  COOLLL  thumbup.gif

New ubuntu user here too, i just recieved my Ubuntu 8.04 LTS Desktop Edition (64 bit). Then i just try to install it in my Windows, since it is able to do so.
So here it comes, since i am new for Ubuntu. I chose the 1 that boot from CD for DEMO in Full installation.
After i boot it from CD then it keep running those code..... like DOS....for a period of time...
I thought it wont be too long since it just a DEMO right, but it like WONT stop.
How long does it takes to INSTALL ??
And the situations happened to me is it normal ???
