QUOTE(pisang @ Jun 6 2008, 12:55 AM) i actually mean, the ONE PLATINUM credit card from UOB is just a clear card / classic card, it's not a real platinum class card. an actual platinum card will require a near 5figure monthly income or solid savings in a bank. |

QUOTE(Syd G @ Jun 12 2008, 12:51 AM) Question. it's a new rule tht benefit good payor, so just be a good payor , the rules won't affect u at all.If I'm a new cardholder with no history whatsoever, how does the new rulings affect me? I'm expecting the worst scenario - 18%p.a that starts charging interest the next day right after transaction being recorded. |

QUOTE(TeraPox @ Jun 15 2008, 11:07 PM) haha, i use card hardly bcoz of the benefit, mainly due to convenience for payment , i use mbb visa coz it's free for life with minimal transaction , i having savings with mbb, so i can settle my card debt thru m2u or atm everywhere. i use HL master card coz previously it has TnG card attached tht auto reload n made it free too, i have loan with HL so i will make my trip to HL anyway, same goes to pay card debt (but i hardly use HL card, see mood). recently i uses HL card coz my mbb card send for replacement, have since use my amex after just received it, plan to use it to replace mbb visa. but too bad today the company dont accept amex so have to use HL card, kanasai refuse to increase my credit limit a lil, i notice they only auto increase my limit when i hit 50% of the limit once. |

just got back my replacement card for MBB flex card today, from previously i 1st applied at Blue color, they changed for me to Red color at 1st replacement n now is the best , they changed it to grey color visa wave with a FLEX word there, i m not supposed to be particular about this, but i need this little respect for the choice of my card's color, at least not GREY.....back to very classic look...
Added on June 18, 2008, 9:51 pmafter telling my fren he can swipe his car's downpayment with my amex and get shopping voucher of about rm150 for him with the points i get , he called up MBB to ask for one... This post has been edited by yewkhuay: Jun 18 2008, 09:51 PM |

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jun 20 2008, 07:07 PM) You can apply for AMEX Platinum Credit Card anytime using your salary slip or or fat bank account. As far as i am concorned, the annual fee for this card CANNOT be waived too due to the perks associated with the card. However the annual fee is a lot cheaper than AMEX Charge Card. It is only RM800+/pa. 800..... QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jun 20 2008, 07:55 PM) @MilesAndMore, 130K, I had my personal reasons for wanting the MBB Amex Plat but I no longer am gonna be v much bothered about it now. Have decided I'll stick with using my current/existing cards instead of putting in another application for yet another card The website states RM130k income p/annum. The CS tells me its by invitation only. |

QUOTE(kapitan @ Jun 22 2008, 11:28 AM) Need to do balance transfer ah? if use amex, spent 4500 on petrol will get u 9000 points for rm50 voucher.I also got this card, gold card. Every month also got rebate even though I didnt carry forward any balance. Quite good if you consider it. If you spent around 10k each year using it on petrol and purchases, you can save at least RM100++ each year. My HSBC card spent 10k only gets 10,000 points and it can only exchange RM50 coupon. I think this serve quite well especially when you are using Gold card. even so, spending 8350 using mbb card will get u rm50 voucher too, during some promotion days, 7350 is enuf for rm50 of parkson voucher. |

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jun 22 2008, 01:44 PM) @kapitan, well, havent been seeing maybank around in any road show or anything, not so active in offering CC i guess. but u can always walk in...If Ur holding 2 Visa/MasterCards and one of them is a 'co-' card ie Citibank Shell/Citibank AirAsia, U can hold 2 of the same cards; Visa/MasterCard. However, if Ur holding just the usual Visa/MasterCard, U can onli hold 1 card. @yewkhuay, And that is exactly Y I wanted to shift my monthly spending to MBB CCs. Alas, I don't have one ! |
