okay guys. tigrex is giving me more headache. i am actually doing the 4 star urgent quest in snow mountain.

Just now, I used sonic bow 1 (the only bow with lightning element at this point of the game) and powered up with power extract (50), para coating (20) and razor coating (20). This bow cannot be coated with poison though.

I also brought 1 mega juice, 3 power juice and power seeds and armor seeds. Things went well in the first 10 minutes when I successfully broke tigrex's head and his claws. I think his tail is about to come off too.

As soon as I used up all my coating, I started laying traps around but Tigrex is quick to break off the trap and hit me straight on my face.

Any tips?

I personally thinks that setting traps are a waste of time.
Against tigrex, GS is a great weapon. Check youtube for the guide to kill it wif GS.

But then again....you are a bow user.....so i can't comment much. haha.

Tigrex i use long sword to kill. Follow Mrs.T guide. It helps.

how to hunt? u work i work cant synchro time to play

u cant cut off tail by pulling strings , unless u go n melee the tail with razor coating
if u really wan try u will waste almost 5 minute cutting the tail with arrow

Whats with the HR 1 & i got pwned by Tigrex???
Do i need to kill it (IMPOSSIBLE in my rank) or just run away?
My quest should be killing the elephant lookalike monster but then came tigrex pwning my a$$.

maybe u shud just kill the elephant.

The tigrex is just there to scare u off. Just ignore him/go other place.
Once u accomplish the quests requirements, he'll be off ur a$$.

btw did u even try killing it? with low lv weapon i try gunlance

Since...he said that he cant kill it. So i suppose for the time being it's impossible for him.

Seriously if use low lv weapon to kill tigrex....my guess is, no matter how skillful is u oso useless. Coz the time would run out even b4 u killed it. Low lv weapon dmg is too low.

if u r a gunner...u wouldnt require much help from a trap lo

i defeated freaking tigrex. I used wyvern born gunlance and steel mail and giaprey tasset.

I never even poke Tigrex. I just shelling shot him, wyvern fire, trap him, wyvern fire and run away to heal.

1st time using gunlance and I slay a Tigrex. not bad huh?

u are on the correct path of gunlancemanship
master the poke attack combo wyvern shot & u will be a master of defense n offense
even the great "white god", ucumulbas, will succumb to ur supreme awesomeness

gunlance is awesome against big monsters like monoblos and tigrex but it's awful against kirin etc.

I am trying to master gunlance, bow and hammer. Gunlance is really cool. I love wyvern fire. Turn Monoblos into rage mode in 1 shot and limp him in 2 shots. Not bad.

For a newbie like me,what weapon is good to me????

i would suggest Katana for newbies.
becoz it's fast yet reasonable in dmg.

Since u doesnt have a shield....u will get use to it. it helps u to the sharpen ur evading and rolling techniques which is extremely essential in the late game.

The only weapons i do not know how to use is Horn and Lance.

dual swords are good in the first two stars elder quests. u should switch to katana later.

I hate horn too. It's so pointless for me unless playing ad-hoc
