Ucamulbas has the most breakable parts now.

Chin Blade x2, Chest, Claws x2, Back & Tail.

It will fall into pitfalls when it's not in rage mode.

Just have to pay close attention to it when it's in rage mode while it's doing it's U-Turn move as it has a really good accuracy.

Either block it or just dive away if you think you don't have enough time to roll away.

What mfa said, you can get those from the casting machine.

Skills like Earplug is almost a must have for hammering monsters like Rathalos, Rathian, Teo etc. You'll be able to land extra hits to the head while they're entering rage mode to KO them faster (Assuming you're standing right in front of them). Then the usual skills like Artisan, RA or Attack Up.

The Felyne KO skill helps too. You'll be able to KO a monster faster.

Lol...I wish haha.

With this skill activated, you'll be able to Knock Out a monster faster with Hammer, Hunting Horn & Crag shots.

Frankly, any armor with Earplug, Artisan, Reckless Abandon or Attack Up is perfect for Hammering.

You'll only need High Grade Earplug against monsters like Silversoul, Goldhart, Gravios, Diablos, Fatalis etc. Sharpsword is not really that essential to Hammering see that it's attack rate is slow so the sharpness reducing fast is the least of your problem. Unless you keep doing the spinning move haha.

It stills helps though.

lol It comes in handy in certain situation really, especially against certain monsters that is hard to penetrate.

You'll sometimes get horns that you do not need instead of the ones you needed though after breaking both horns.

40% on Regular horns, 20% on Upper rank horns and 40% on G Rank horns.

Yes, boomerang can cut tails.

The monster you're referring to is Elder Dragon Kushala Daora. Plus, it's the only monster that is surrounded by a Wind Barrier. So I highly doubt it's not the same monster. =_=

It has horns (It's too obvious, not sure how you could missed it), you'll need to break them to disable it's wind barrier. So unless you have a "Dragon Wind Breaker" skill, I would suggest going for the head first to break the horns. That is your first priority, unless of course, you want to keep getting pushed back by it's wind.

It is weakest to Dragon and Thunder element. Poison will disable it's wind barrier too.

Wonder where did over 50 of my "Daora Horns" came from if Kushala Daora doesn't have horns lol.

Well, it has pretty small horns lol.

Sometimes from the front and sometimes from the side, depends on the current situation.

There are a couple of openings e.g. After breathing it's wind (On ground), when it's turning towards you or when it jumps back and start posing etc. Then just keep hitting the head when it's lying on the ground, you'll break the horns in no time.

I don't think you can kill it with an unupgraded Smolder Dragonsword.

You don't need to complete all quest in 5* to unlock 6* quests. GH 6* quests should already be available to you the minute you turn HR4.

Did you talk to the second guild girl ?

That is because Elder Dragon's quest will appear randomly.

Pink means you haven't completed all of the quest of that specific star. After you've completed all of them including the Elder's one, it will turn yellow. You need to wait for the Elder Dragon's quest to reappear to do so.

You can get the regular ones from Elder 5* Dual Congalala if I'm not mistaken.

The other versions you can get from quests like Feylne Elder 7* Kill 15 Shakalaka, GH HR6 Dual Rathian and HR9 download Kushala Daora.
