You can solo anything with ANY weapons in this game. It all comes down to how skillful you are with that weapon against that specific monster. For a Gunner, it's all about the bullets, they are your life and no, you do not need to spam Clust lvl2. They are just one of few ways gunning a monster, it is not a MUST to use them. It's optional.

Congalala is one of the most easiest monsters to gun. The only thing that you need to watch out for is it's charge, it's not big so bullets recommended for it are Normal, Pellet and element shots. Crag & Clust are optional if you know when to use them.


This HBG I use is one of the weapons that they supplieded you with from the start of the game. Attack Power is only 150 if I'm not mistaken, didn't upgrade it whatsoever and the armor part, well as you can see I'm naked lol cause I really have no idea what to wear. It wouldn't be fair if I wear a high end armor against an Elder Quest type monster now would it? Didn't equip any Power & Armor Talons/Charms and didn't take any Felyne food too see that you just started and most likely don't have access to them yet so I have to be fair.

Bullets used up are about 20-25 Pellets lvl1 & 50 lvl2, 50 Flaming S & 3 Clust lvl1 = Dead Monkey.

It will be a lot faster if your Bowgun has skills like Normal, Pellet or Element Rapid Shot.

Make sure you visit the Training School if you're really really new to the game. They will teach you a lot of useful stuff.

Not if you have Adrenaline +2 or Heroics on.

but still nothing beats dragonS if the monster weak against dragon elem
the dmg even surpass clust3
good for laos and fata due to their size, since dragonS is pierce type
the downside is only can bring 23 dragonS to the battle field

and only clust type bullet can ignore monster's defence
same effect like bomb barrel
thats why clust fata is fun
high defence also eat full dmg

Yep, a good thing about Crag & Clust is that they completely ignores the monster's defenses, same goes with Gunlance's shelling. That's why most hunters love clustering Crimson & White Fatalis due to them entering Armor Mode, though I personally prefer meleeing them, too lazy to combine Clust lvl2 haha.

but that feeling of when all the Clust bombs exploding via impact on the monster = Priceless Always love that feeling.

But it's really just one of few ways of gunning a monster, really depends on what kind of approach that you'd prefer when gunning.

The latest one is Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G, it's an expansion to Monster Hunter Portable 2nd/Freedom 2 and it's only in Japanese. Those of us who are done with Portable 2nd/Freedom 2 are playing this now.

Start cooking some meat, eating meat will recover your stamina. You'll need a BBQ split to cook meat or you can just ask your kitchen Felynes to cook for you.

i tried spamming clust2 on fatalis, cant kill it
akantor bow can though, combined with felyne heroics

Clustering Fatalis is only really effective if there's like 2-3 hunters in the group clustering too. Not really effective if you're clustering alone.

Pinjam thread sekejap... I might be making a MH doujin for Comic Fiesta this year, and maybe some other MH stuff. Can you guys just give me some feedback on what items would be good to make and which would you buy if you got money to spare (don't give me the "I don't buy these kind of things" answer, I'm not forcing you to buy, just want some opinions/ideas?).

Plushies are really hard to make... it's only on tentative because I might not be able to do it nicely or make a lot of it...

I asked before if the Kirin costume can be cosplayed in Malaysia or not... the answer is no ><

Good idea kiraneko.. For Comic Fiesta, it would be grad for comic fan to hav a bookmark.
i think the cloth items would be expensive to make alot of em..
As for bookmarks, u need to hav several MH pictures printed on.. & maybe put a calender behind..
Ask someone good on graphics like photoshop, siggy & team-up with them to make a great MH graphic/pics to be print on the bookmarks, greetings cards & badges..
