because not all bugs fixed in the new one, I do own a DELL Latitude C640 (or something like that) with ATI 7500. When I update to latest ATI driver from ATI website, it behave unexpectedly. I have to downgrade to the old (2004) driver at DELL website. Display driver is not like antivirus or operating system updates which solves previous problem and improves performance. sometimes it's better to stick with old one...
