Here's another iPhone trick where you can play the mono music through your existing Bluetooth headset with a simple little change in your audio output options:
1) Pair your Bluetooth headset with your iPhone - we're not gonna get into the specifics, just do it. 2) Go to your Voicemail and hit the "Audio" button (when the iPhone is not paired with a headset, this button will say "Speaker." 3) Choose your headset in the subsequent audio selection dialog. 4) Get to your homescreen and hit the iPod icon. 5) Start playing a song and revel in the Bluetooth headset Inform me if this been posted before and I will delete this post. It's *5005*86*phonenumber# (where “phonenumber” is the number you dial to call to your voicemail)

This thread certainly has been "salah guna".. Thus, i am now referring back this thread to what it should be..
Just wanna share with iphone users who yet to know this.. In Safari Web Browser.. To Zoom In, instead of double tap on screen (result to too far zoom in).. we can manually adjust the zoom in level by Hold one finger on the screen, and use other finger to scrool to right slowly to manually adjust the zoom in level Enjoy better way of surfing.. Cheers This post has been edited by Apis_LuaLua: Jul 16 2008, 10:16 AM |

Isn't that the same pinch-and-zoom we used for zooming in photos?

Not sure if it's posted earlier in this thread, if so then sorry upfront.
With firmware 2.0, u can now capture screenshots of your iPhone screen by pressing Home + Power (at the top) simultaneously. Your screen will flash for a sec and the photo then saved to your Camera Roll. Hope that's useful. |

iPhone 2.0's backup screws your life for taking long time to finish?
A quick fix: 1. - Quit iTunes. 2. - Open Terminal.app 3. - Copy and paste this in, then hit return: defaults write com.apple.iTunes DeviceBackupsDisabled -bool true 4. - Open iTunes 5. - Plug in your iPhone (2.0 or 3G) and sync. Caveats: - You have no backup... can't restore data... - If you use programs like SMS Log or Phone Log by Markspace - it will most likely stop working... because it uses backup as base for sync. Have fun... |

Another tip to share. Try double-pressing on the Home button when your iPhone goes into sleep mode (i.e. when the screen goes blank) or in the "slide to unlock" state.
You should get an ipod control interface to access your music directly without having to "slide to unlock" and go into ipod mode. This only works when you had a song playing in ipod mode and u had it on pause. Hope that's useful. |

OK, I just tried it and can now confirm that the custom ringtone hack still works on firmware 2.0, itunes 7.7 and iphone 3G. ringtones must be < 30 sec, AAC encoded (*.m4a) and then extension changed to *.m4r and open with itunes. thereafter, will appear under ringtones in itunes and just sync. |

If you've got more than one page of apps, instead of flicking pages left and right you can tap on either the bottom right or bottom left to move from page to page (just above the dock- where call, mail, safari, ipod are by default) to chang |
