Im using Inspiron 6400, overlooked when i purchased 2 years ago, bought it with on board graphic, currently upgrade ram to 2.5GB Ram, PROC 1.66ghz T2300.
Now my question is how to increase the on board graphic memory, currently i checked out in BIOS is only 8MB and guess that is making my junkie really slow.
Anyone can suggest on increasing the Onboard graphic cache as I tried from BIOS, i just cant find any solution....

Are you using XP or Vista?
When I used Vista, my laptop is generally hotter as opposed to XP.
*

I'm using Windows XP
nowadays the heat is getting hot a bit

was wandering if we could "tighten" the hinge own self? called up dell, said its "under wear and tear" so not covered under the warranty.
'cause its very loose now, its like "swaying" under the fan
and ah, what's the cheapest 2gb ram in lowyat shops eh? saw viewnet, kingston 2gb @ rm130. good price, you think?
*
I thought the link Calvin_gsc gave me is the cheapest, RM110 per piece

since i never use media direct also.. so do u guys think its wise?
will there be any.. negative impact?
*
You won't get negative impact but just remember, you cannot push the media direct button la

basically still functioning well...
just a bit... "cepek"?
hehe... maybe i not gentle enough...

Welcome to the thread sis (or bro)

Actually my problem solved d
i changed the virtual memory in My Computer properties, changed 3048 to 2500
then took out my HDD and put near the fan to cool it down
noticed the HDD totally hot when i took it out

so far, my lappie go back to normal
problem solved! rclxms.gif
