just answered this Q at another thread.. i think it has been asked many times too.. QUOTE(webbi @ Apr 29 2008, 08:44 PM) I do not seem to be able to disconnect from the internet at all, my bills are sky high. I have tried with the settings and with bossprefs but nothing seems to work. I still have the E on my screen. What can I do other than switching off my phone? Thanks! QUOTE(c_calvin @ Apr 29 2008, 08:49 PM) The E sign will be there even when EDGE is disable, it's just showing you EDGE is available. If bossprefs din work for u, maybe u can try services. QUOTE(blackchides @ May 1 2008, 11:23 PM) Haha, I was looking for my thread to edit some stuff. Searched through the first few thread pages but couldn't find it before realizing it was pinned! Coolio.. Added on May 1, 2008, 11:34 pmI think we need to add an unlocking FAQ here. I think we all agree that iLiberty is the best way right now since ziPhone has the bootloader issues? Anyone wants to write a step by step guide for unlocking an iPhone using iLiberty or maybe post a link to it? If I'm not wrong, the link at the iPhone club thread is iLiberty for Mac. I'm looking for iLiberty for Windows. I'll add it to the front page and credit your name as a contributor. I think the guide from iclarified is good...complete with picture somemore

QUOTE(blackchides @ May 2 2008, 02:56 PM) Download an iPhone application called simport where you can transfer files from your SIM card to the iPhone. Alternatively, use a cable to connect the nokia phone to the computer and sync with outlook/address book program of your choice. Then, connect your iPhone to the computer. From iTunes, in your iPhone submenu, just click sync with (program of your choice). i guess u should put this n the 1st post too i've seen this question again and again

QUOTE(bola @ Apr 12 2008, 11:25 PM) Hi been looking around to add Malaysia in the Country selection but there isn't Hell, they have Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines but NO Malaysia Hell, they even have most of the middle east! Basically i want this : I tried to follow the guide in http://modmyifone.com/wiki/index.php/Adding_Countries_to_iPhone_Address_Bookbut i dont have the plist editor and i used OmniOutliner but it doesnt allow saving to .plist files. ======================================= INSTRUCTIONS
1. download attachment Contact_Address.zip (provided by frozzbyte & alang) 2. unzip the file and you will find a file called ABAddressFormats(MOD).plist 3. RENAME it to ABAddressFormats.plist 4. Using your SSH software ( i used WinSCP) to log into your phone. 5. go into the directory /System/Library/Frameworks/AddressBook.framework 5a. (optional step) copy out your original ABAddressFormats file OUT of your iPhone for safekeeping 6. DRAG ABAddressFormat.plist into it 7. Confirm COPY and overwrite the file 8. Disconnect iPhone and restart your phone. 9. MALAYSIA should appear as an option in the country selection list in your Addressbook
Hi blackchides why not put this in your 1st post too.. or you can put a link to that thread on your 1st post [ http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/672555 ] saw ppl asking it again This post has been edited by c_calvin: May 8 2008, 11:14 PM

What can you do with Bluetooth on the iPhone?
-It can't transfer files to a PC. -It can't send a photo to a Bluetooth printer. -It can't stream audio via Bluetooth to a compatible speaker system or headset. (Video is out of the question.)
The only function of the Bluetooth is to link with Bluetooth headset. (Better to test if it's working with iPhone before buying)

DFU Mode Vs Restore Mode
~DFU (device firmware upgrade) mode is a special mode that bypasses the operating system(doesn't boot up the "mac os" on iPhone) and lets you restore/upgrade the device. When in DFU mode, the phone will have no display on the screen.
~Restore mode is more common. In this mode you can also restore or upgrade your device, but it is not as drastic as DFU mode. Many restore problems can be solved by using DFU mode. When in restore mode, the phone will display the logo & cable screen.
