I'm in a search for a slim PSP plastic casing. The ones I see on the market are all big and bulky and most people complain that they get in the way. Some of the casing are so thick that they distrupt the playing pleasure of the joypad and button pressing. I understand most of these casing were built for shock, but I don't intend to penalized my gameplay experience over the fear of dropping the machine.

As such I am on the lookout for a good slim casing which doesn't add to the weight significantly and does not hinder gameplay experience. The casing is just meant to protect it from scratches and as such slim enough still to enjoy gameplay. I have found one casing, but unfortunately no one is selling it here.

So has anyone used any casing that is worth mentioning? And how much does it cost?

Let's share the info. Thanks.

BTW, a small survey. Please answer the following, how many of you out there ..:

1. Protect-cased your PSP?
2. Screen-protect your PSP?

Just want to know. I have seen some people whose PSP is just all scratches and don't quite give a 2 hoots about the condition. doh.gif

cos they turn my SLIM to FATTEST psp around lolz and its mUCH heavier when im so used to holding it
without casing .. LIGHT and SLIM < the feel of it is much better.

i do take very much care of it but crystal casing < nono to me

well , when i bring it out, i do have a normal pouch for it .. biggrin.gif

Ya i'm one of those who don't protect my PSP at all:
I didn't get any screen protector & casing intentionally becoz
i: The screen already scratched a bit when i 1st got it (2nd hand - when the market for PSP was RM1200, i got it for RM400, lucky me)
Waiting for it to crack or something so that i have a reason to get the psp faceplate(front panel screen cover; i dunno wat we call it here) and
get the ones with the nice tribal designs and also applying the much well known screen protector when that time comes.

ii: Protect casing, well u have to understand, the slim and the phat PSP's has totally different type of backsides as what i saw the slim's back is
shiny and all that (which really makes me want to scratch it a lot if i ever find a dude or dudette that doesn't use any casing) while the phat
PSP is not like the slim, and well u see i dropped it many a times (unintentionally - of course) and well the front panel makin hancus but the
backside still maintain cool (gerenti won't calar-balar one - unless u drive a penknife different story la);
Plus i find it not comfortable playing the PSP if you have whatever type of cover on. If u want to protect it that much get the carrying pouch le
Why must have protect casing while u play? Also I find it difficult to slide your psp in your pocket when it is being wrapped around by another
layer of plastic protector. Why not try adding another layer of silicon protection goodness on top of the plastic protector and see whether
we can play our PSP under water or not....?

BTW, just joking abit up there k. I can only say, different ppl have different preferences. And i can't blame the Slim PSP owner's for wanting to have those protection goodness wrapped around. It's shiny back n front and when i touch it - opps got my thumb print on it oledi....... and always remember, that some ppl might seem that the don't care about their PSP outlook, but u have to take into consideration if that one PSP goes around the whole family. What happens? Can get the picture or not? Bapak beli utk diri sendiri, lepas tu bagi la anak bapak main ....

P.S: I'd totally recommend any slim PSP owners to get the gadget skinz (or whatever they call it these days). Should be a better alternative for your PSP protection woes on "what kind of protection i should use?" query. brows.gif
