QUOTE(Skylinestar @ May 19 2008, 03:38 PM) walau! the build quality so lousy? drop once and the phone suffer big problem already? older generation means less complicated parts and also less sensitive with impact shock. older generation handphone drop countless of time still working fine. try drop the iphone two times see what will happen. |

QUOTE(Victor3010 @ May 23 2008, 11:36 PM) Just tried it this morning. In short, I don't like it.... Thinking to install back the older version now. QUOTE(lucaswjk @ May 24 2008, 02:19 PM) I'm not be able to answer all your questions. But this is my view on this phone... My Black N82(original) is 1 week old. Normal usage (30-40 min of voice call, 10-15 min of GPS, 20 min of Wifi connection) will drain off the battery in about two days time. It's too short to me... Another thing i hate on this phone is the sticky sound when pressing the left side 'Menu' D-pad.(not all the time) It's annoying. |

QUOTE(snakevenom @ May 25 2008, 11:37 PM) WOW sukhoi37 i think you should do your research more rather than jump into conclusion. WOW brother, I dun get your quote from the article. Maybe when u r free try to read something here ---> http://www.batteryuniversity.com/partone-12.htm before making such remarks. A unique drawback of the Li-ion battery is that its life span is dependent upon aging from time of manufacturing (shelf life) regardless of whether it was charged, and not just on the number of charge/discharge cycles. So an older battery will not last as long as a new battery due solely to its age, unlike other batteries. KTHXBAI! What i said in my previous post is overcharging Li-Ion battery will shorten its lifespan. ya it's true that I didn't do my research. but I heard about the info from a very experience technical person. And i'd spent my time to read that article. This is what i got which is similar to what i'm trying to say. QUOTE What happens if a battery is inadvertently overcharged? lithium-ion is designed to operate safely within their normal operating voltage but become unstable if charged to higher voltages. When charging above 4.30V, the cell causes plating of metallic lithium on the anode; the cathode material becomes an oxidizing agent, loses stability and releases oxygen. Overcharging causes the cell to heat up. If left unattended, the cell could vent with flame. You are the one who jump into conclusion too fast. For the transparent skin, could you share your skinned N82 photo? Curious to know how it look like. http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/showthread.php?t=1783504 Invisible Shield. The seller is in SG Yishun. Cost SGD35 with FOC pasting service. This post has been edited by sukhoi37: May 26 2008, 01:17 AM |

QUOTE(aitoshi @ May 26 2008, 08:51 AM) Thanks for your recommendation. It's the best protection for your n82.Too expensive lor. Convert to Ringgit is RM83. Any recommendation in JB area? it covers almost full body of the phone. it also has lifetime scratchless warranty. no more pouch needed with this shield. don't try those crystal case, it will scratch your phone. |

QUOTE(Smy @ May 26 2008, 12:30 PM) Looking to buy this phone but judging from responses, the battery life is pretty weak. 2 days at most for normal usage? it depends on your usage.I'm using k750 now and I can go a week without charging so I'm quite hesitant to put my money down just yet. but i think maximum would be 3days. maybe this is normal for such feature packed phone? my w810i also can last for 1 week. powerful camera, built-in GPS receiver, wifi, ngage, mp3 player...etc this phone is just too powerful to resist. W960 should be another nice choice. i heard its battery is remarkably long lasting. (from GSMarena review) but it's out of my list after seeing so many ppl complaining about the problems they got with this phone. |

QUOTE(cute_boboi @ May 28 2008, 07:18 PM) I think someone posted this PDF file in N82 V1 before I don't dare to open up yet, as still under warranty until 2009 Maybe you can tell us do you manage to fix it all back ? So far any problem using it after the surgery ? But be careful the tape to stick the LCD frontpanel with the main body,it will become loose after you open it. |

QUOTE(PrinceCaspien @ Jun 3 2008, 03:39 PM) change only front and back casing will void the warranty, remember the side body colour will still be silver while the black edition is black. i don't think so.the original black casing : ![]() you can ask nokia service center to change for you if you buy from them. the warranty still intact after that. the only problem is the casing costs more than RM200. |

my 3g connection show no data transmission when i using AGPS to find my position.
ya, GPS is 100% free for lifetime. with GPS, the satellites managed to track me with at least 5 minutes. with AGPS, it only takes less than 10 seconds. |

QUOTE(Salamurhaaja @ Jun 4 2008, 08:23 PM) Hey guys i'm new here... N81 has better audio quality according to GSMarena review.Currently i have a question wanna ask about the comparison between N81 and N82... And the question is "Which of those stated N series phone have a better music quality when compared" (please do give some evidence to support your statement NOTE: If dun have nvm) And izit worth to get N81 or N82... Why... I also in dilemma to choose between these two back then, but the GPS and Carl zeiss+Xenon flash features and black version are just irresistible. |
