have you checked Virgin Blue and Qantas airfares??

edit: AUD98 one way is expensive. consider flying on weekdays instead of weekends.

Travelling by coach (bus) will only save you enough to buy a bag of lollies. I'd rather stick to air transport. Faster and possibly cheaper.
