Public transportation with opal is quite cheap and easy. Will buy it at the airport.

plan your trip with opal carefully. 9th trip onwards on your opal is 50% off. So pandai-pandai clock the short trips in your first 8 then go ahead to take the ferry to Manly.

ETA facing some delays. Apparently shortage of manpower to process, though it is supposedly on auto approval basis, they still need someone with fingers to press some buttons. Mine took almost 2 weeks.

thanks for the reminder. my eta already approved. 2 days processing time.

Yes that is absolutely correct. Just for everyone's info, I had my family's and friends' ETA done thru Kangaroos_Kang. Super efficient and speedy service. Highly recommended.

Mine got bounced to 2 weeks because somehow or rather mine was a special case with an existing 5yr ETA on an old passport.

Can get 5 yrs eta?

you seem to be staying at north ryde area. Just take note to use your opal for short trip for the first 8 trips in order to get a 50% discount on subsequent trips for the week. I cannot remember which is the start/end days though. There are also some sites that gives out discounted tickets to madam/sealife/zoo etc

From airport to north ryde. 3 pax. Better with train (airport link) or take a cab or uber?

The train would cost you $60 for 3 pax. Uber would be about $80, for a regular car. I'm not sure about the price of larger cars (if you have a lot of luggage).

Uber xl will cost me $107. I’m taking the train. Hehehe
