Hey Everyone,I just got my iphone yesterday and unlocked/activate/jailbreak with (winpwn/bootneuter)ver 1.1.4 , modem firmware 04.04.05_G.when i use celcom 3G simcard the message fixed number dialing active popup and no carrier or signal..nothing.

But,when i use my old maxis prepaid simcard it works like charm.

Is there any way to fix or trick it so it can work with my celcom 3G simcard?I googling alot but found no solution for this issue.

Hope you guyz can help me to fix it before i'm going to celcom centre asking for help..thx smile.gif

Yeah, I think 3G simcards are not working that well with the phone. Maybe you need to downgrade to a 2G (normal) simcard. Can someone confirm on that?

Cheers

yes there have been problems with celcom users. encountered that a couple of times when i was working in geek. dont worry, apparently, celcom has a stockpile ready exclusively for iphone users. just proceed to your nearest kedai celcom or bluecube

Thanks for info, just got my sim replaced today at TTDI and it work! I did went to other branch in Cheras last 2 weeks, they just have no clue what I'm saying. They showed me few 3G cards to try... none work.

I dont have to keep the spare AT&T card me now... in case some doesn't know, I have to boot using AT&T card and then change roaming partner (which is celcom). After that I got to take out AT&T card then replace it with Celcom 3G sim.

not really. you have to remember that the old 3G was working fine with the exception of iphones. no point for them to re incur extra costs just for that

you are only running on gprs? are you sure? because im pretty sure most areas in sunway are covered by at least edge.

only the swirlymms app is not working? the rest like youtube, safari, installer etc can work fine over the network (not wifi)?

But why I cannot get any information about edge from Celcom? And the "Box" next to the Signal is without "E".

Are you using Celcom 3G yourself?

I see... Thank you so much! Happy that I can update my weather now...

And by the way, I don't need to do any setting for my gprs to work. I left everything in EDGE blank.
