The so called 'leak' is sometimes a strategy to see the response of the gamers before the game is finally out. It's done in the recording industry, and major labels do it so often. It looks like the game industry is catching up in this 'leak-before-launch-day' strategy. Another marketing ploy.
Why see the response of the gamers when the answer is very obvious?only small publishers do that because they don't have enough funds to spend on marketing, advertising and send the game to professional gamers to publish their review on mag. Recording industry usually don't give budgets for marketing unless you are some big shot and guaranteed profit gain, usually its the manager/singer's family have to make up for it so what choices do they have?
