Bro,

I don't have External CD drive here.
Can i just Uninstall StarOffice and install Office 2003?
Uninstall others one by one, and install other small programs from rapidshare or download.com?
My existing C drive in 901 now is 966MB free space.

Thanks for enlighten me ya...

got some questions :

1-anyone here using a USB to SATA/IDE adapter to use regular internal DVDRW drives.  How much is the price for adapter?

2-do u get any noticeable performance improvement from 1gb to 2gb RAM upgrade?

Any EEEPC 900 30GB Hdd user here? I would like to recommend you guys to replace the hdd.

As  we all know, eeepc 900 30GB hdd is damn slow due to the usage of 1.8" HDD and consume a lot of energy. But today, i bought 32GB Samsung 1.8" SSD.  According to datasheet, this samsung ssd can read up to 57MB/s and write up to 38MB/s compare to normal 1.8" HDD read speed around 30MB/s and 20MB/s write speed. Even SSD installed inside eeepc900 and eeepc 901 ssd version can achieve 40MB/s read speed and 20MB/s write speed only.

waa. manyak duit. why take ssd 32gb? why not install bigger memory hdd?

Actually the RAM is for you to do multi tasking at the same time.
It is like a Highway on the road which provides how many lanes for the cars to passby at one time.

Well, you can see the difference if you upgrade it from 1GB to 2GB especially when you open 2-3 Internet Explorer together with your Messenger.
All Eee PC comes with 1GB Ram..
No worries, you try to make urself comfortable with ur ee pc first.
When feel like abit laggy then only you changed to 2GB RAM  smile.gif
It wont void the warranty also xD  thumbup.gif
Yea, everyone want to clear the old stock now, especially 1000H 80gb

not all. my 701 512mb sad.gif wont void eh?thought got sticker on the screw?

I think avast is the best free antivirus. use it on my xps vista

finally found the suitable antivirus for asus eee pc 701, using NONE. lol. Installed ubuntu eee and its marvelous. love the interface. and no more antivirus hogging my resource, and no worries of viruses.

then my father wanted to buy for him also >.< but surely not 701.

looking for 90x series. which is the best?
