Just made my first "MOD" today, I made a charger cable connected to my desktop PC, since my PC is on all the time I might as well use the 12V to charge my eeePC. That way I won't forget to leave it at home when I charge at night. Over at forum.eeeuser.com I was advised to add in a 2A fuse just in case. 

Well it is charging my eeePC 901 now and the original charger is in the bag.

That what is printed on the charger and I measured it with a multi-meter to confirm. At least on my eeepc 901, I cannot say for the 701 and the 900 so for those that have a 701 or 900 better check before running to make one. We do not want a smoking 701 or 900

ha, fortunately I have slender hands. Not much fumbling on my EEEPc 701. It's working great!

Also, it beats my old Vaio if I want to carry it around. My old VAIO (athlon xp) is so heavy that it's like working out on your arms!!

Pick up a loan unit of Digital TV USB to test. I am suprise for only RM129/= we can get TV1 TV2 TV3 music channel, warta perdana, and a few digital radio. I think. Well here it is.





And Full screen   



Only problem is that you need to be out in the open or at least near a windows.

I have some good news, just peak at the latest July price list for the Asus eeePC.

The Asus 900 is target RM 1,399/= (XPH)
The Asus 901 is target RM 1,699/= (here is the catch, battery is 4 cell similar with the 900 XPH)
The Asus 1000H is tartet Rm 1,999/= (6 cell battery Linux)

damn..... I should have waited .... hehehe and I paid 2K for but with a 6 cell battery & no warranty. Ahh.... the price we paid for being the first.

it is because i only want to use XP once and i don't need it next time

need to use XP on eee pc for robot programming

so can gimme links how to do it? 

BTW i dpn't have any CD/DVD rom

that's why i want to use my sister eee pc but don't know how to boot xp on it 

I only see a screen with the Apple logo. Could be just a picture. Doesn't prove that Mac OS is installed on that EeePC.

I hv read a site comparison btw, Wing and 1000H, 1000H win once ie the processor/graphic is better than the Wind. Where else Wind won for battery/size and etc.....Guess Processor/graphic is quite important too

Update d Bios? What is d pros to update it when my 901 is running great. I heard those from d forum said Bios 1202 got another bug. These Bios still unstable at d moment, i might only update it when it is stable.

By d way,jus to share wif u guys. Putting 901 in Standby mode was great. No heat when Standby unless it had run programs used b4 going to Standby. It only consume roughly 1.5% of your battery per hour! No need Shut Down or Hibernate,instant access.
Advisable to customized Time b4 Standby at Power Management.

anyone here can install win xp (nlite) for me, tried few time but doesnt work. im using 701xp. please pm me, ill pay for the installation.

got things to ask:
1.  do we have to install full version of xp, then only start installing nlite?
2. can i install nlite in my desktop first?  because i saw too much useless things in my computer with i dun think i need it.

If nlite n  xp needed to be installed in windows environment. Can we install additional copy of xp  in sd memory card
just in case xp got corrupted and we switch to memory card to boot up xp first.

Then again, we use just nlite to instal xp to sdd or hdd.

The reason is we do not have external  cd rom, and do not know whether eee pc  can run on networking without xp  [ if corrupted ]

Anyone mind to share ?
