Revert to 1st-come-1st-serve. No matter online or offline registration. Both are better than the lucky-draw system. That is the bottom-line for gamers.

As for seeding, it's your call. 100% of the spots not granted to seeds, you satisfy the newcomers but don't satisfy the seasoned gamers. 100% of the spots granted to seeds, you satisfy the seasoned gamers but don't satisfy the newcomers. Are seasoned gamers important to you? Are newcomer gamers important to you? Weigh these and you will find the answer to how much % you should allocate for each.

If you think only 1 seasoned gamer per game is worth rewarding, then don't have to change a thing! Coz you've the system in place. But if you think you should keep more seasoned gamers happy, the same passionate people who have been supporting your events over these years, then by all means revise.

Also, just a correction. The seeds list has nothing to do with bias, but has all to do with merit. These players on the list got their seeds by a prolonged period of determination, passion, discipline of getting good results at major tournaments. So no need to be afraid to use it, the media won't harass you because of using it

I read with great interest all your feedback and I wish to put a stop to this. This will be my only post in this thread.

We hear your opinions and we appreciate it. Of coz as the organiser we have our own constraint as well and I dont expect any of you to understand if you have never been in our shoes. And if you are one of those out there who think you can do a better job than us, well let me extend this opportunity to you out there to come work with us in organising WCG 2009.

Anyway, no long essay from me [no offence Jali ], we just want to know, first come first serve vs balloting. We are only going to do this one more time, we are allowing gamers one more chance to petition their thoughts, after which I personally do not wish to hear anymore complaints and there will not be anymore changes.

We will make a decision tomorrow morning based on feedback from you [only feedback after this post]. Reply wisely and do take into consideration what are the implications as well.

p/s No point getting so upset with Naka & Angelstarz when they are only doing their job & there is no right or wrong way of doing things as well.
