hi all,

does anyone of you works for ambank? i got the 2nd interview days ago and might be hired as a wintel server guy. from wat i heard, the salary is jus so so, mileage is rm0.70/km, and epf is 16%. the benefits i heard is jus normal but at least it was better than my current company. would like to hear others opinion about this....the worklife, future growth, benefits and etc.

at the same time, my client (i am outsourced) knew tat i wanted to resign n asked me to tell him about my unhappiness with my current company which i did told him. he hope tat i could stay with this company, either as permanent (no promises due to headcount) or after my company contract is over, he will insist tat the new outsourcing company to hire me n put me there.

i'm in a dilemma now...ambank or client? happy with client but problem with my company (epf/socso/income tax deducted but not credited to acct, no bonus as promised, hardly approve leave and many other empty promises). hope to hear some ideas....btw, today i've jus lodge a report to epf about my company.

thanks

This being the case, it is possible that even after join AM, the client will still look for you.

Thus this "promise" factor does not weigh much in consideration of the AM offer.

yeah, did think of it too but i enjoyed working there but i would prefer more challenges. he can only promise me that when they move to the new office, he would let me do the avaya voip system and the cisco router/switch, for this he can promise....for others, he cant.

Everyone for its own dude..... u dun wan to just depend on this one client forever rite???

AmBank will definitely be better than ur current comapny. Company deduct tax. epf, etc but doesn't direct to ur a/c?? u better report this matter!!! Its a dam dodgy company... no future for u there... U'll definitely learn more in Ambank, and paid more in later yrs after u have the skills... think long term dude

yeah, tats y i was thinking a lot. i've jus reported to kwsp this morning and for ambank, the interview seems to be easy compare to others although they asked a lot. and they don mind paying as long as i can work for them for at least 3 yrs. i'm jus worried about their work culture, one man show eventhough there are many others.

as for my client, he helped me although it was not his business. he wish to hire me as a perm but the headcount problem. and he knew tat i wish to learn, tats y he promised me tat he will ask the global it to localised some of the things.

it feels like owing him something but thinking of my future with so much of the management problem, i am in the middle now....wait or change

Hi, anymore comments on Ambank?
i heard that Ambank not giving any contractual bonus but performance bonus only. Is this true?
Any staff from Ambank would like to speak this out?

ya ya, have to see majority also. If majority is at least 2 months then quite similar like contractual.
Hopefully Ambank staff can speak out here.

IT Executive? Doing what?
My position is more like quality and compliance as told by interviewer.
Have they call you up for second interview or medical checkup?

Oh wow! Glad to see Ambank staff voice up here.
I think more or less are the same in terms of benefits.
The interviewer told me that mileage is RM1 per KM also. tongue.gif
Then bonus is average 3-4 months at least depends on performance.
So what about yours? how many months of bonus you got?
What about the working environment there? Peace?
hmm.gif hmm.gif

No bonus, commission based now... (used to be bonus based, but recently just changed the policy)

So it is higher basic (than last time) + some allowances and claims (limited, unlike the past where it is unlimited) + commissions

And, no bonus for us (Mortgage Sales) . So mau duit? Rajin sikit lo.

from AM but i'm not from IT though.. from branch (retail banking).

on average for the past few years, i've been getting around 3-4 months.
no mileage claim for us unless sales staff like the personal banker/personal financial executive but there's commission for certain products like credit cards and insurance. smile.gif
