Band Jam Competition in conjunction with WCG 2008 Malaysia
Good News for All! The WCG 2008 Malaysia organizers have decided to run a Band Jam Competition at the WCG 2008 Malaysia Kick-Off held on the details below:
Date : 30th & 31st May 2008
Time : 11am - 9pm
Venue: Plaza Low Yat, Boulevard (Jockey Area)
Details of the competition as below:
Participants : Everyone out there
Max No. of members in a band: 5 pax
Entry Fees : FOC
Song Origin : Any
Competition Format
1. This competition is open for 15 teams only.
2. All 15 bands will play on the 30th May 2008 as preliminary round (play once).
3. 5 bands will be shortlisted to return on the 31st May 2008 for finals with another song (play once).
4. Placing: 1st, 2nd and 3rd only.
5. Basic equipments provided:
a. 2 guitar amps
b. 1 bass amp
c. 1 keyboard amp
d. 1 x 5 piece drum set
6. Each band are only allowed to play a maximum of 3 minutes song.
7. Each band will have 5 minutes to setup their equipments.
Prizes
First Place : RM1,000.00 CASH
Second Place : RM800.00 CASH
Third Place : RM500.00 CASH

Please submit your registration via e-mail to august@in2.com.my with details as below:

2. No. of members:
3. FULL NAME, IC No., ADDRESS, MOBILE NO., and MEMBER FUNCTION (ie: vocalist, drummer, guitarist etc) FOR ALL MEMBERS.
Judging criterias & full rules & regulations will be announced later. Do send in your registrations to secure a place as we are only open for 15 bands. Any queries regarding the event can be e-mailed to august@in2.com.my

Agree that 3 mins abit short. Heck, everyone knows that an Epic is nothing under 7 minutes...... and that's just the solo! haha.. 3 minutes nice wurt.. i like this type of competition..last time the one i joined in penang was 4 minutes.. anyway , i think i am joining . its right after my finals so i guess i will see any of you wankers there |
