QUOTE(radioactive @ Jun 15 2008, 01:04 AM) dip in then must get it resprayed. metallic paint are different from gloss paint. Moral of the story is to get the car resprayed in due time rite? My VIVI less than a year so respraying would be outta question at this point of time... So I guess my option would b the following-->painting by hand even the strength of the stroke affects the shade of the paint. spraying is most uniform..thats why they spray ur paint not paint brush. to fix dip in, they apply some filler. the red colored clay. wait for it to be dried then sand it down. the entire surface to be painted will be lightly sanded as well. this will also provide a better grip for the new paint to stick on. they'll clean it with a solvent...usually they use petrol then blast it with air to remove any residue. metallic paint is first sprayed then a clear coat is sprayed on....finally polish it with a very fine abrasive compound to make it shine like mirror. get the paint from paint shops. drive ur car there and give them the color code located in ur engine bay. then request for color matching...they'll match it 99% to ur body color which might be slightly differ due to weather exposure, etc Otherwise get some touch up paint to temporarily keep the hole from getting rusted... Am I Rite? I was thinking that they would clay the dips n then respray... But whole car respray would cost a bomb~ |

About RM80-RM85
Around 350km if u're steady on ur paddle... Depending whether jam or not too... So, it all comes back to ur right leg and traffic condition... Above is only an indication and may not depict the actual usage, use the above data at your own risk. kthxbai |

But now that I keep my thermostat at 50% the issue never occur anymore~ i switch my temp level to 50% only and used air con filter too... maybe u blasted the air con temperature to the max level? It's pretty similar with most cars actually... Friend's City also hav the same issue especially cold morning... Even @ 10% of thermostat~ |

QUOTE(steel2k2 @ Jun 16 2008, 06:33 PM) This is what ABS isThis is how ABS works These are pretty much the closest explanation that you might be looking for... As for experience on ABS, I think the pros would have to answer your question... Personally, WITHOUT ABS system, ur brakes will juz LOCK ur wheels when u do the E brake... WITH ABS then the system will work to avoid locking... As for the feel on the paddle, u juz jam the brakes and u can't feel much of the "point of locking" with ABS... "In an emergency stop in a car with ABS, you should apply the brake pedal firmly and hold it while the ABS does all the work. You will feel a pulsing in the pedal that may be quite violent, but this is normal so don't let off the brake. " THat's what I think and I may be wrong... QUOTE(Woeijiann @ Jun 16 2008, 06:38 PM) hey..guy.... I use the normal baseball bat lock... Juz to deter thiefs for easy targets... and it suits perfectly as an armed weapon for self defense~ would you guys mind to share any car lock use to lock ur vivi?? I plan to get a new car lock soon .. thx This post has been edited by psychict: Jun 16 2008, 06:49 PM |
