I can understand the role reversal between Diana and Steve. In the first movie, Steve had to introduce the world to Diana and in this one, it is the opposite, which was kind of fun.
The issue I had with Steven was, he was the guys with oall the plans in the first movie and in this.... he is practically... the vase...
i am indifferent to your views. i thought they wrote it pretty well in terms of how well steve was utilised. as diana was getting weaker, the scriptwriting was quite good in making steve useful. i.e. the highway scene. steve practically saved diana several times when she herself was practically calling it quits. ditto in the white house. how steve saved her from bullets too using a steel serving tray? but at least there were efforts to justify him not serving precisely as a "vase".The the villians' motives are not well define. Barbara went from I am Diana's best friend to I hate her, I REALLY HATE HER the "trigger" being well executed.
And Max Lord had all the oil in the world, and he went to the other guys for more? It is one thing to have a tagline "Life is good, but it can be better." to change it into action... again, where is the trigger?
The above are the two biggest "HUH?" moments for me in the movie...

ww84 was terrible on so many levels.
highway scene.
cgi was bad and defies logic. on small screen it looks bad. on big screen i think it will look uglier. when diana saved the two kids, physics was completely thrown out the window. it was really painful to watch and to acknowledge what dumb down experience the producers/director put on the viewers.
opening scene was all cgi fest. and the positioning of the text during opening was ill placed, too big, too intrusive. the youtube 3 minute opening scene was so much cleaner and better.
storyline. terrible. horrible. aghast!
what was max motive? how did he know about the stone. heck they didn't even care to explain the stone origins and details. i didn't even know what he was doing in the third act. it's like he is just rushing along without a plan. he himself doesn't know what he wants. bummer!
fan service. yeap it's great that they wanted to pay fan service. but what an incredibly lame story of introducing the invisible jet, wonder woman's ability to fly. absolutely disgusting!
conclusion, the director was horrible. she just couldn't piece the scenes together well enough, execution was not to details, and it didn't help that gal herself was one of the producers.
i feel that the biggest win for me was the mid ending credit scene. that was the big deal to me!
overall a 3/10 for me with such cast and budget.
MVP: Chris Pine
