sharil! it's good that they nibble u.. and its good that they hyper active.. but normally at night la..

i think the crying part is actually hissing? and barking means miss u.. need attention..

well.. in order to train them to be running around u.. i think.. first step would be buying a bonding pouch and let them sleep in the pouch always when u are walking around and talking so that they recognize ur smell much much more.. and let them nibble u.. cause that's the first step to bond..

sifus, how do u teach sg to eat mealworms eh? just simply get and let them eat?

*
dude.. when u get ur mealworms make sure to Gutload them first.. well.. it's to cleanse them using Oat and well.. other healthy things u can think of.. sawi also can.. make ur mealworms eat oat for at least one or two days bfore feeding them meal worms.. this is to prevent ur glider to eat what's consider dirty in the mealworms tummy bfore this.. so make sure to do that first.. for crickets.. i'm not too sure.. need to ask the sifu's..

mine was lucky that she love it when i feed it to her.. at first she wouldn't like it and don't know what it's.. but as age grows.. she just simply grab em and start chewing on them.. =P if it doesn't works.. go to organic area of the supermarket.. buy agave nectar.. to add some sweetness on to the worm and let them try it with a bit of sweetness till they are dependent on eating the worm itself.. after 1st and 2nd try let them just chew the worm alone..

QUOTE(Pennywise @ May 7 2008, 12:37 AM)
I have a question about gliders and cleanliness. For example, a glider jump off our body and run around in the room. Then it runs behind the wardrobe.

Considering that the back of wardrobe has not been for many years and there are dust gathered there. The glider dirtied itself - will it be harmful? Will dust be bad for them? Will they suffocate / choke?
*
penny.. it's BEST to clean ur room and make sure dust won't stacked behind ur cupboard if u're letting them stray around ur room.. make sure tight corners won't be having dead cicak or roach as they will eat em.. =P hehehe my room is still a bit messy.. so no out for my Glynx.. now just stayin in the cage whenever she's at my place.. at my gf's place.. she will run around the bed area.. even my bed also she free roam.. then i will limit her if she tries to go down.. hehe =P

whoi.. aper sifu ni.. cheh.. just sharing my info cause i been thru some experience only.. full info would be from Hun herself.. but sigh.. i also sakit hati see spirit's Glider SOOOOOOO small.. joh.. can't even crab.. walk also like wana jatuh like that.. even the eyes like just opened up only.. sigh..
spirit.. can u state the name of the breeder from mallacca so that nobody would go back there and buy from him d? not to 'chiong sui hei' but he really irresponsible to give u such a small glider.. really tiny.. the tail a bit longer than the body size also.. ai.. almost same..

I've heard ppl that only bond with their gliders after years....more than 2.
That's a very long time...so please be patient.
I'm helping my friend with hers...also half a year de, still problematic.
Not under my care...so still keeping track on that one.
*
hehehe i think mine now QUITE bonded with me d.. yesterday at pet shacks first time i see her soooooooooo sticky to me.. at first when she just woke up.. she darn blur one.. stoning all the wayyy.. and let people touch touch also.. then when she fully awake d.. omg.. whenever spel'it grab her.. she will jump back to me and masuk into my shirt.. hahaha not once.. not twice.. but like 5 time whenever somebody grabs her.. then she kept masuk into my pocket to sleep.. joh.. SOOO cute.. omg.. i'm so proud also.. hehehe.. =) hope she will bond to me much much more..

hi sifu sifu and everyone...i got problem here...my male sg is quite 'bonding' wif me(not really bond but can come to my hand if i wanna feed him) but the female one doesnt even bond wif me....the problem is,now(last nite),when i feed my male sg,he doesnt even want to come out from the pouch, just muncungkan mulut untuk makan je...but after a bite or two,he get inside the pouch again...then the female one crab..it happen for 5-6 times when i feed the male one....last few days also the female always crab when i feed the male...the food last nite i left,(1bowl of slurp,a few meal worm and 5 cuts of fragrance pear),only the slurp finished..the others untouchable...why? icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif
*
dude.. very easy and very hard also.. cause u need to do this one thing.. bring them out.. wit u.. alternately.. or both together.. always.. and what i mean is 'EVERYday' they don't get use to u yet i think.. wear them out like how u wear ur clothes man.. that's what i've been doing.. they are every single bits and pieces of my life now already.. and the defination u use that bond isn't bout that.. what bond means is that ur gliders will stay to u no matter what happens.. and they rarely will jump off from u.. that's bonded..
