The fibrous stuff is the pulp. Don't worry, it is natural. As my food is homemade, the pulp is natural. Some gliders would eat everything, some would spit out the pieces that are dry. Glad your Judy likes it. Now there is GliderFRUITSICLES at Pet Shack.

Will the slurp smell sourish like bad sourish yoghurt when it has expired?

Yes, it would taste sour. Smell... not so... you gotta taste it. If it has gone very bad it would smell like sour milk. Why? You didn't keep it in the freezer?
I did put it in the freezer only to find out that the freezer was not working as it should a day after. the whole thing was still cold but not frozen

Yup...true true....ok i'll keep on doing my research....

Added on June 10, 2008, 10:51 pmQuestion of the day--> Does it bite(wat is crabing?)...Issit painfull?
*
Crabbing is not an action but a sound that a sugar glider makes when it is scared. Theoretically a joey's bite won't be as painful as adults (which can draw blood) and it also depends on how you handle them.

Attached File  crab.wav ( 109.36k ) Number of downloads: 12

attached is how crabbing sounds like.

when i go pets wonderland in mid valley or pet safari in ikano, i do really get tempted to buy the SG asap!!! but i know dat if i do that, i may end up having fun in the early days only as the SG babies or we call joeys sold there are underaged!! they din get enuf nutrition from their mommy in their early days, thus they will not last long in the long run.. meaning htey have shorter life span compared to u get from reputable breeder like crazymouse, reanne or bonai in lyn forum... biggrin.gif  thumbup.gif

what for we want a short life span one rite?? imagine u get so attached to him d, then one day u realise dat he doesnt lived as long as 10years... wanna regrets at that time?? NO for me!! vmad.gif

so hun, i am gonna wait till i am ready enuf k!!! hehe blush.gif am ready d actually, but since i am studying n in campus, it would be a trouble for me if my college staff caught me having pets in my room!! anyway, i got away with the 9 gerbils!!! haha wub.gif

so what ya think?? research or get them now??

btw, where r u staying? u work or study le?

I'm also keeping my glider on my campus accomodation haha.

You would be making a BIG mistake by doing so as their teeth won't grow back.

What is it with people with these sigar glider impulsive buying habits. Do not fully understand the needs and requirements and want to keep these pets. Crazymouse, maybe you need to create a Sugar Glider Awareness Campaign tongue.gif

I do also need a spare cage for travelling in future. Will they get stressed out when you move them between cages and go on car rides?

Thanks for the reply KP. A smaller sized one (of course a decent sized one) will do just fine right?

Flexarium? does it look a bit like those zip up plastic wardrobes found in supermarkets just that they use netting instead of plastic?

Can take that into consideration as a second option apart from the metal cage. Just got to think properly before getting. Still need to upgrade Judy's cage tho.

Speechless... Don't know what to say... rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif doh.gif .. All I ask is do not ask idiotic questions here. I'm sorry to say that the questions that you post may be funny to you but please respect others who are really seeking for true information and knowledge on keeping Sugar Gliders and most of all think before you post. Don't post just for the sake of asking idiotic questions before your research has been done. The internet has more information and pictures of what you need to find. You are just wasting your time and most importantly other people's valuable time which can be used to educate those who have really spent a huge amount of time doing their homework on Sugar Gliders but still having doubts in their research.

Judy just started crabbing when I put her into her bonding pouch today. Don't know what's gotten into her.

Hi all, I need to seek for some humble advice. Judy doesn't seem to like to get into her bonding pouch these few days and sometimes refuses to do so. Even if she does, she will crab a fair bit. I have to apply some slight pressure on the pouch before she keeps quiet. Any advice on how to get her in the pouch with less crabbing or none? Thanks.

Hopefully it works for you. Just needs some time. Some gliders are pouch protective, or hate their pouches. So it depends. Like my Keera, she will refuse to go into her bonding pouch when we are at home. Coz she feels comfortable and wants to explore. But once we go out the environment changes, and she would go into her bonding pouch willingly as it is her safe sanctuary.

Will try it out. She's being in her crabby mood these few days. Hopefully she'll get out of it. As you said, it all takes time.

I think they are referring to custard apples too. By the way I just found out something about Judy. I use peacock feather to play with her, she acts like a cat wanting to catch the feather using her hands.

Judy will nibble at me if I use my finger. Doesn't really layan my finger unless I go tickle her and she nibble on it.

yay...my baby casper dun affraid of me le.. when i put my hand inside the cage he will jump to my hand and dun let go =.="
den have to bring him out let him walk around my body..hehehe...he so cute.. btw the fur from his head already grow back lo.. but his body size still so small while cindy body is really really very fat ....
*
Good to hear that he's not afraid of you already. It happens to Judy as well.. Once i open the cage, she jumps on my hand and starts to climb quickly up my shoulders and that's when she wants to go out of the room to walk around. Same case as your Casper but it is quite hard to get Judy back into her cage though. But then, I've got to send her for nail trimming soon. Her nails are starting to get sharp.

It's really interesting and fun to see that everyone's glider has a different personality. They really do act like kids. Does anyone else's glider does what Judy does? Say when she's on my left shoulder, trying to catch her to put her back into her cage, she'll scurry over to my right and when I'm going to the right, she runs to the middle of my back ant then have to slowly slowly catch her. When she's almost in the cage, she'll run up my arm and back on my shoulder all the time.
