using matt black depends on the rim design and colour of the car

i'm using 14" x 6" banana rims, paint it matt black on my birdie

body color is mocha silver, some kind of dark color... gonna respray my stock rims to matt black... the overall look should be better then current...

long time didn't post here. this threat not very active recently.

anyway, because two days ago i bang into someone's car, front bumper cracked, so i plan to add aerosport front skirt when i change to new bumper, and also rear skirt and peanut side skirt to my kenari. anybody here with this basic skirting and lowered? i'm afraid of it's hard or need 'crab style' to go over speed bump, anyone encounter this problem?

*
my friend's 4G92 satria with basic engine mod like intake and exhaust, port n polish; adjustable suspension kena cucuk by a stock kenari without exhaust sound and turbo spooling sound/blow off sound, believed it's a manual transmission on genting uphill. so if kenari > vios, why not? laugh.gif

QUOTE(camel90 @ Nov 18 2009, 07:35 PM)
hi there guys. im not driving a kenari. but i would like to know something about kelisa tongue.gif.

let say i want to install the bendix metal king brake pad, they are for front only right?? i just bring the brake pad to workshop and they install for me? is there any need to change the brake oil to perfomance too?

thanx. just a noob about car sad.gif
*
welcome! most of the thing in kenari = kelisa, so don't worry smile.gif
bendix brake pad have two different packaging, the blue box and the gray box, blue box is cheaper while gray box is slightly more expensive. kenari kelisa only comes with front disc brake unless you modify it, get the mechanic the check whether u need to change the rear BRAKE SHOE or not. and do service your rear brake + full brake fluid bleeding will give the best result. brake system doesn't add any performance to your car.

A few things I noticed today.

- When idling, front end of car got faint knocking sound.

- How to tell if the clutch is gonna die? cuz I can't seem to shift smoothly..

-Alignment is out.

- Suspension kinda too soft. Feels fukken unnerving while going at 130...
*
faint knocking sound? how it really sounds like, i'm curious on that sound.
time for adj. suspension, then with alignment together biggrin.gif

i got my static & dynamic balancing, alignment and camber adjust done at rm30 laugh.gif
tried on cameron highlands spg. pulai route, what i can say is NICE!

QUOTE(-maple- @ Jan 10 2010, 06:47 PM)
ic. Gonna send my car for alignment soon. Ohya. Kenari front speaker at door there is wad size? 6'? Plan to upgrade my speakers.  And also change alarm system. Money gonna fly away again  doh.gif
*
6"or 6.5" is alright for the front speaker. if the speaker magnet is bigger then the current, u need to cut the door trim panel.

QUOTE(camel90 @ Jan 11 2010, 09:01 PM)
ok here it is guys. i have new problem T_T.

this morning went for a regular service at perodua and the mechanic found somekind of MINOR leaking. he said to keep an eye on the 'minyak hitam' once a while. it isnt really that much a problem he said. the cost to repair it will be around RM500. i dont know what is the problem really coz aunt sent it while i took her car to college (she's on her day off).

so, what is probably causing this?
*
maybe the next time when u send ur car to service/repair, u take a few photo and let us see? the price of rm500 can repair a lot of thing leh...

nice! specially the side door part. i got the front windscreen done also. couldn't believe it's 10 yrs old paint.

btw, update from my side, camber adjusted to -0.25DEG, due to front tire wear out on outer side. after camber adjust, did up and down hill to cameron highlands via spg pulai route, very nice driving. when on the way back from cameron highlands on north south highway, finally my stock kenari touched 160km/h! but in fact, my gps only shown 150km/h cry.gif my fren couldn't believe kenari can drive with that high speed and cornering in cameron highlands!
car sent for paintwork today, hopefully to get my car back on this fri!

Any difference between Aero version and others?
*
difference between aero and non-aero is the bodykit, interior trim and meter cluster color. that's all if i not mistaken. body color which available is solid white, solid red and metallic black, silver and metallic red only come in around mid of 2006.

140bhp in ej-ve should involve with engine modification as well, so i don't think this counted as BOT. item needed should be engine management system, low comm. piston, metal gasket, port n polish, engine blue print & balancing?, list goes on~

QUOTE(solsekuin44 @ Jan 17 2010, 01:56 PM)
What's the use of that thing? I'm a noob sweat.gif
*
that's a forced induction setup for kenari aka turbo where a lot of people say.

QUOTE(ahchun @ Jan 18 2010, 10:02 PM)
wow how much BOT for kenari?

anyway i went to do major service for my kenari. see below for the bill

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

*
my team's myvi got his real BOT without touching the engine cost him more then rm3k.

and the major service seems to be a bit expensive, u sent into perodua SC?

ahchun,

thanks. very good to hear that it is a reliable car from someone who has used it since 2005.

i am too lazy to read through the threads. sorry.

but compared to 1.3 cars, the kenari being 1.0 must be fuel efficient i believe.

Added on February 4, 2010, 9:35 pmmy unser 2000 will be around 30k.

for a kenari less than 30 k, which model (auto) would be recommended?

i thought the 2 tones ones looked cool. are the batch before 2002 reliable? i understand that they are all dohc, right?

how is the aerosport or rs different from others?

thanks

Added on February 4, 2010, 9:39 pmwhat's the first thing i should check?

the rear assorber?

the engine mounting?

i will of course naturally check the air cond  and even change a new timing belt.
*
kenari will be fuel efficiency due to balanced of power to weight ratio.

i would say all kenari's engine is categories as compact dohc.

it's better u get a mechanic to check for any serious accident happen on that car before. oh ya, engine and gearbox oil leak too!

QUOTE(cphilip @ Feb 4 2010, 10:32 PM)
once again, thanks! i needed to hear that the kenari is really fuel efficient which it should be of course as a 1.0 and also judging from it's size. yes, i also like the height. i's like a small relaxing dining room inside the car.

how does the kenari perform when it comes to hill climbing - eg genting highlands or cameron? i: happy to also know that the different models have same engines and therefore not much different except the external cosmetics. this means i can go for the colour i like. sometimes, it can happen that the colour i like is an older model.
*
very special of description u have on kenari interior size rclxms.gif

last dec and last month went to bukit tinggi, genting and cameron. no prob at all in bkt tinggi and cameron via tapah new road, maybe due to i maintain the engine rev at 3k rpm at least. but when comes to genting, it's horrible as i'm driving auto. went to all places with 4 person include me in the car.

argh, no time to wash my car to take photo of it sad.gif

Guys, I accidentally left my fuel tank cap at the Petrol station after my last filled up 2 weeks ago.....(0nly discovered it's missing just now when I went to fill up again). Usually how much it cost to get it replaced? Can I get it from spare part shop or have to go back to P2 SC ?  icon_question.gif
*
u better get it replace quickly! not too good if rain water slip in to the tank, this happen on my frens' L2, the car keep jerking. and get it from spare part shop will be cheap compare to perodua SC.

So now how much is your FC? Manual, city driving. But I gotta say that sometimes I do chat with my friends in the car (not moving) for quite a period of time with engine and air conditioners turned on. Does that consume a lot of petrol?
*
mine is auto, 4 years car, 165/60R14 tire where the 165 is wider then the normal 165, without caring much on the pedal stepping, rm0.14/km for both city (30%) and highway driving (70%). i try to keep the rev below 3k or slightly more then 3k only.
yea, no matter what car, when it's idle for sometime it will consume petrol no matter with air-cond on or off, of course it consume more when air-cond is on.

guys, anyone drove kenari back to hometown driving this chinese new year festival? i don't get to drive mine back as my dad is driving his car sad.gif
