Does it block the brake fluid container, or make it difficult to reach/service other parts of the engine?

QUOTE(necromencer @ Jul 21 2008, 09:29 AM) yup, thats is, u installed it on ur kenari?! em, possible to DIY install?! cuz i might b getting a 2nd hand 1... installation is not provided QUOTE(Synthesia @ Jul 21 2008, 10:33 AM) Does the stabilizing bar help for people who drives in the city?? Well, how much would a set cost? What are the cons of having stabilizing bars on kenari? based on ur question, my pov:if real city driving, maybe 60 - 70km/h on straight road, n slow when cornering, i don't think it needs... a chapalang 1 will cost from rm50 if i not mistaken, those so called 'adjustable' 1... my UR 4 point cost me rm150... the cons is having difficulty when service lo, u can c the photo above, it blocks coolant reservoir, power steering fluid reservoir, battery (only applied to 4 point, when u wanna top up battery water or replace the batt.), and u ned a bit of skill when removing the ori air duct (also only applied to 4 point)... QUOTE(Synthesia @ Jul 24 2008, 05:08 PM) What about the stabilizing bar for the rear 2 tyres?? Will it really help the car? i don't know there is any stabilizer bar for kenari rear side... there is only either rear anti-roll bar or room bar... anyhow, my pov is, any bars u added to the car, it helps!Planning to get one, i heard it's about rm100 for the thing and rm50 for installation. rm150 for everything?! i don't think so... rear anti-roll bar will cost u more then rm250 fyi... |

And all my absorber and wheel rim is stock only. oh really?! mayb ler... but im getting 3 point fender bar soon, after fender bar then only anti-roll bar... i installed front tower 4 point also, it's gd! n yeah, im getting apm performax lowered spring this few days also... |

kev da men,
something wrong with ur apm performax la... or did i miss out something?! what absorber u r using?! i installed apm performax spring on my kenari on monday ago (28th aug), with stock absorber on front at 165/60R14 tires; kyb excel-g on rear at 165/55R14 tires... until now, i still haven't experience any symptom that voice out by u... i guess something wrong with ur kenari, maybe bushing or absorber worn out?! after install apm lowered spring, stability on straight and cornering improved significantly, much better then stock a lot... but, quite bumpy...a bit hard to drive on not good condition road, such as housing area... up coming plan for handling, myvi front brake system replace into kenari original front! yeah babe... guess i will just ignore the fender bar, rear anti-roll bar will be KIV, will install if i need! |

QUOTE(kev da man @ Jul 30 2008, 10:35 PM) my suspension settings GAB SA?! means the most basic 1 from GAB right?!gab SA, performax all four. car is not even 2 years old la, busing so fast got problem meh wait till the springs settle down, after 3 months, then problem will come out, trust me, stock absorbers too soft for the performax. previously on kayaba excel-G at the rear on stock rims too, NO problems with fender makan BUT, its too bouncy come out TT one day la, with the FnF members. then can see the difference brakes i wouldn't go myvi. Honda EG got more brakepads to play with, and you know how many myvi rotors warped? never mind, we will c whether makan fender or not... anyway, even if really like what u say, i don't really mind... if the front absorber need to change, my choice will be kyb excel-g or apm performax; but if my rear side need to replace, i will be really mind about it my current setting is bouncy liao... so i drive slowly on the road which not in good condition lo... the upcoming FnF TT i won't be around at klang valley >,< i still don't need very 'geng' brake pad, upgrade slowly will do |

QUOTE(kev da man @ Jul 31 2008, 08:46 PM) 1" buffer? i also want. ur photo is when ur kenari on the lifted hoist right?!see what happens when you spring is too short? i need longer buffer, esp when im airborne GAB SA more than enough; rear also cannot adjust if i go coilovers, no point. waste money for front which settings will not be changed also this is mine, more or less the same like urs: ![]() 3 person needed when lifting the hoist down.. 1 to control the hoist; another 2 to jaga the spring so properly seated im stil considering on the buffer, i have no idea how tall the car will be after fitted in the buffer aiya, don't need to be coilovers la... standard, stiffer enough la... personally i don't really like GAB, i heard it's quite stiff... if compare GAB SA (the most basic 1), apm performax and kyb excel-g, which 1 is the stiffest?! then continue by which 1?! and the most soft 1?! |

QUOTE(kev da man @ Aug 1 2008, 10:19 PM) eh yours still okay la, you see that part where it is totally unseated from the buffer yea, of course it's still ok, because the photo took before the car lifted down, when initially install... guess the next time i lift up my car by hoist, it will be same thing like urs...GAB stiff? not stiff enough. tein stiffer. apm performax shocks are like soft butter. KYB excel-G stiffer than apm actually. oh... then maybe after front stock absorber KO liao, i will go for kyb excel-g also... GAB and tein is quite expensive... oh ya, my friend punya friend told me something like this: lowered spring on kenari will made the front tower to cracked... does anything experienced from this case?! personally i don't think this will happen la... |

QUOTE(McRyan @ Aug 24 2008, 10:46 PM) if i use CUS wf 165/60R14 tyre ok or not? u mean u put the speaker box at the ori rear speaker place ? QUOTE(McRyan @ Aug 25 2008, 10:23 AM) how bout i install the front speaker that u mentioned to the rear speaker ori box ? what nice speaker to recommend ? budget n nice QUOTE(McRyan @ Aug 25 2008, 02:19 PM) what i mean is i wanna take off the ori rear speaker+ionizer box n get myself a new box that can fit in 6x9 speaker lol 1stly, i don't think there will b any prob if u wanna pair CUS wit 165/60R14 tire...i will say this bcuz i'm using the same size, wit lowered some more... based on what i know, CUS will be even higher then the stock spring, correct me if i'm wrong!izit worth to change a set of 5years used 165/60R13 rim+tyre with my 4 months old 165/55R14 rim? he top up rm250 for me 2ndly, i guess u r misunderstand with the rear speaker setup all of us trying to explain... what i mean with the speaker board is like this: ![]() mount the 6X9 speaker below the board... but hope u won't have rattling like kev da man and winlose2582 la... but definitely u can mount speaker back to the rear ori speaker housing, but u need to customize the housing...the ori speaker for rear is 6", height of the speaker is less then 2", 1.5" if i not mistaken... and if u plan to complete remove the whole rear upper ionizer and speaker, u need to spend money to re-trim the whole roof, as there is hole... so better u leave it there... u can also use speaker box, and put in 6X9 speaker, but it will use up ur boot space plus the sound will be weird i guess... QUOTE(winlose2582 @ Aug 25 2008, 07:30 PM) I dun think take off the rear speaker panel is a good idea....Is so ugly after u took off the speaker panel... yea, but u need sound proof material...Just remain it with cable disconnected condition. If u wont feel hard feeling, make hole at rear door panel and fix the 6.5" speaker set lo.. |

QUOTE(winlose2582 @ Aug 27 2008, 12:55 AM) Yeah... u need to DIY urself with the sound proof....get the superlon from thenn member of zth.... oh really?! good to hear that the sound is more better... actually i was planned to install the sound proof on roof and 4 door, but ended up cancel, due to no time to diy...I did sound proof last time for my front 2 doors and roof... conclusion is solid bass/sound found after u did the sound proof... I heard recently got better material to sound proof, but cannot remember....is it extreme dynamat with cheap price selling at forum? But personally, i dun like speaker place at rear... Reason is, too noisy and difficult to tune the sound quality to balance up for the whole car.... Just my 2 cent..... i agree with ur opinion that speaker on rear is difficult to tune... but never mind la, i will install it 1st and c how is the result... QUOTE(sinclairZX81 @ Aug 27 2008, 01:01 AM) Anybody can show their front speaker set up? I wan to get better sound but dun wan to put in that rear board. ur question is asking how the circuit diagram run OR just to show how the speaker looks like when installed?! imho, i don't think speaker need to show off unless it's a show car OR the situation don't allow onwer to hide the speaker, eg: bigger then the ori size, cant fit in the ori hole...keep the car low profile will avoid ur wallet to spend more... just my 2cent! |

QUOTE(sinclairZX81 @ Aug 28 2008, 05:11 PM) Haha, I'm no techie, dunno anything about circuit diagram. But I would like to see the pictures of front speaker setup. I have changed my front speakers but was limited by the size of the door panel. Sound is better but bass is low. oh ok, i understand... there is variety of speaker to choose from ma... maybe ur taste need a better speaker then now?! Wonder if anybody has installed 3-way 6x9 in the front? 6X9 in front of kenari?! i don't think it will looks good, but for sure the sound will be better... a lot of works to be done before the speaker can fit in... |

QUOTE(ejen @ Aug 29 2008, 07:33 PM) hi all... i just changed my front tyres... and i asked that guy in de tyre shop and he asked me to buy a thing called 'spacer' to put it to my back rim as my back rim looks like 'go in' from de arch... i did installed spacer on my rear wheel before, few month ago... but removed due to vibrate when apply brake at high speed (>80km/h), maybe is cause of the material la... from wat i looked at it... yes, it does... what a spacer does and any pros and cons on installing it?? i just worry i kena con by them only... btw, how much would that thing cost? based on the spec from kenari brochure, the different between front and rear wheel track is 40mm, which is the front is wider then the rear... the set i install is 6mm per side, selling price is just rm6/pcs the pros is it will increase stablity and better looking... cons is u will maybe have the same problem like me (just maybe, hopefully not la) and the wheel nut won't fully tighten into the wheel hub stud... |
