Guys, can anyone recommend me where to go for car repairs (repaint, etc)? Sigh, my brother crashed his Kenari today, and it's not a pretty sight... His right side is gone case, the front mirror are half gone, and both passenger side doors are stuck as the front side was bumped in. Thankfully, the car is still moving and my dumb brother is not harmed.

Can anyone help me out here?

Will upload some pics if needed to - I just want to know a good place to go for the repairs, and roughly how much would the damage be.

Sorry to hear this dude, so far I'm lucky my Kenari no accident, just some scratches. Hopefully some other forumer can help you on the info required.

Are you planning to claim insurance for the repairs?

wow, sorry to hear that... what did the car hit?! report police if needed. and if u plan to claim insurance, u definitely need a police report... or else, the price will gonna burn ur wallet seriously... i can recommend u a place, it's in puchong, my kenari were sent for repair during my 2nd accident, pm me if u needed... however that workshop don't have insurance claim service... my estimation based on what u wrote is around rm1.5k - 3k... good luck...

new user here, just got my EZ Aero white color today! add me 2 list..

problem when collecting new car:

1) no fire extinguisher (salesman said new package dont have)
2) no first aid kit (salesman said new package dont have)
3) chrome tail pipe not straight (about 15 degree off to left)
4) power window switch got light? (bulb blew?)
5) engine abit noisy on gear D4 than N (maybe timing is off, must compare w/ my sister's kenari or maybe related to problem (3).. the pipe got hit & damaged exhaust system?? )
6) side mirror (alamak not electronic controlled!)

plz advice on these problem, thanks

congratulation, and welcome to kenari user club... but sad to hear ur problem...

1 & 2) won't be weird if really don't have. however, check ur price list whether it's included or not. if yes, u should know what to do la...
3) u already got the car, so the salesman will tolak u to after sales service, complaint to service center, but make sure u go branch, not dealer... i had been training in perodua dealer before, sometimes they won't entertain this kind of problem >,<
4) what u r referring to is the driver side p/window switch got light it's?! don't worry, it's like that, a convenience for driver...
5) hmm, no idea with this... got to see real situation 1st...
6) yea, don't u know that... ok la, there is an option for u, change to daihatsu move side mirror with adjust function... but i can't recall how much is the price...

hope my opinion is able to answer ur question...

@sinclairZX81: Yeah, I am planning to claim insurance as the damages are quite bad - can't really afford to fix the damned car now as I just settle a big piece of the installments.

@jaesern: He go and hit the butt of a lorry, kinda tore the front left of the car... Sigh. I don't even want to think bout it.

Just wondering, have anyone of you guys claimed insurance before? What would the processes be? I know that you need to report police but the problem is, my bro didn't jot down the lorry plate number - afraid that it might be hard to report police when we don't even know who he hit. After he go hit the fella's lorry, thankfully the lorry was not damaged and the driver just let my bro go without taking a dime thus my bro kinda left immediately. If we need the lorry fella details then I might have to go strangle my bro now...

Sorry dude, but I think you do need to make a police report in order to make an insurance claim. Better get your brother to jot down the details before he forgets coz maybe needed for police report:

1. Time and date of the incident
2. Place
3. Conditions of road
4. Details of the lorry
5. Any witnesses
6. Briefly explain what happened
7. Sketch before and after accident
8. Any other important information

You gotta tell them this is for insurance claim purposes, and report must be made within 24 hours of incident.

Meanwhile, also contact your insurance company to inform them of this incident. They will send to you the insurance claim form or perhaps you can collect from their office. The form should state what documents and information they need. Good luck. icon_rolleyes.gif

Hmm, do you feel that the Kenari's steering is a wee bit too sensitive? One jerk and the car turns a lot..

The ori seat back is a bit small due to the higher level of the seat. Do you find that your back view is obstructed by this new seat? I'm sure the back of the seat is higher now? unsure.gif

back view still look good for me as the installer did not put my new seat too low.
the installer take his own sweet time to install my seat
around 5 hours to make sure i am satisfied
