thinking to downgrade my engine to L9 660t, any suggestion?

my kenari clocked 160,000km...
Just done 2nd timing belt change on 155,000km...
recently I felt my engine noise becoming very loud...

what do I need to check??? do I need to do overhaul???

3 piston or 4 piston?

3 piston easier to maitain rite?

nope... more vibrations like ur current engine which means mounting will die alot sooner...

if u wanna change engine... get a 4piston engine.. dun waste time with the 3 piston ones...

and why not get K3VE? it may be NA....but....no replacement for displacement....and can always turbocharge it later on

3 pistons the parts are almost the same as current 1.0 engine..

3 pistons - better pickup..

4 pistons - smoother engine but pickup < 3 pistons engine..

anyone here know when I turn on the A/C,
using air recirculation mode not intake air from outside,
where is the intake vent for the air inside the car to be recirculated to the A/C system?

removed the door panel,
but cant see the nut on the surface,
is it very hidden in between the 2 piece of metal of the door?

you can either get your workshop/mechanic to order it for you or bring a sample to spare part shop.

accs shop like brothers if they still have stock. erm, there is two type, one permanent fixed on and on fixed on but with roller blind. price should be around rm70 for the permanent, i got one few years back. search in this thread on earlier post you can find the photo of mine.

either take your current engine turbocharge it with low compression piston or just simple bot OR myvi engine OR k3-vet. stock 660cc turbo is about the same like our kenari, only diff with turbo feel because i manage to outrun kancil 660 turbo.

there is two screw; one from outside, one from inside, the outside one you can simply access to it by just open the cover; the inside one you will need to remove your door panel, tear the plastic cover carefully from the seal, get a torch light and you will see a screw, it's either 10mm or 12mm nut, can't remember.

maybe just bot, it cost around 2000 only complete kit with piston so can kecissss kecisss without worrying about the engine

anyone know regarding this?

recently there are smell coming out from A/C vent once turned on,
then it disappear after a minute or so,
thinking of spraying disinfectant spray into the vent that intake air to be recirculate inside cabin

if ur saving for VTEC then why bother modding ur current car? just save all the money then u can get ur VTEC sooner... that 2k for BOT or watever price for transplant can be saved into ur VTEC fund...

when i decided i wanna go back to playing hondas i totally stopped all my mods on my ex-kelisa.. got my honda significantly sooner compared to continuous modding


try n google for the aircond cabin filter.. that might be the place ur looking for...or nearby... but usually its behind the glove box compartment.

other mechanic advice to replace engine mounting...

aftermarket taiwan mountings are about 250-300 siap pasang... ori perodua is about rm1k





anyway... my kenari has the valve cover leak into sparkplug issue shit... im wondering how long can i live with the valve cover like that? cant afford to change yet as raya is coming and need to do lotsa driving around during raya.

maybe aircon fan problem. try open ur hood and check the fan

just curious did u all guys got rattling sound in dashboard when u press the pedal?damn annoying,and also steering shake like hell when press brake,changed brake fluid,seems ok ady for 2 days then start shaking again,help me !!!

Did you ask the mechanic to check the brake disc/brake pad as well? Probably its already warped..

For the dashboard sound probably the nuts are loosen or cables behind the dashboard are already loose as well..

dashboard rattling sound mayb bcoz of the loosen screw and steering shaking like hell might be bcoz of mounting... btw, 3 piston engine shake alot
