I'm thinking they probably going to pass some jobs to Sapcres, since they are one of the major shareholders. Recently they were awarded jobs worth at least US$4 billion in Singapore & South Korea

KUALA LUMPUR: Seadrill Ltd continued to accumulate shares in SapuraCrest Petroleum Bhd, raising its total shareholding to 18.51%.

A filing with Bursa Malaysia showed Seadrill acquired 12.5 million shares from April 14 to 18. The shares were acquired in blocks of 2.5 million each for five consecutive days.

The recent acquisitions raised the Oslo Stock Exchange-listed Seadrill's shareholding to 216.31 million shares.

The company, which is involved in offshore drilling operations, had recently acquired 10 million Sapuracrest shares from April 7-10.

Meanwhile, FMR LLC and FIL Ltd acquired 5.51 million shares of KNM Group Bhd from April 8 to 14.

It acquired 2.02 million KNM shares on April 8 and 1.98 million shares the next day. On April 10, it bought 400,000 shares and 1.09 million shares on April 14. During the period, it also took profit, disposing of 2.68 million KNM shares.

After the latest transactions, its total shareholding was 8.94% or 93.84 million shares.
