Sword of the Stranger is a Japanese animated feature film directed by Masahiro Andō and produced by BONES studios. The film follows a swordsman with no name and a golden-haired assassin as circumstances draw them towards a mysterious young boy.

That's the central plot but here's what you really want to know:

BONES
Music by the man who's worked on Eureka 7 and Heroic Age ☑
Samurais during the sengoku era ☑
Crazy battle hungry Gaijin working for the Chinese Imperial Army ☑
Gore and violence ☑
Awesome fight scenes ☑

Yeah, the movie pretty much borrow elements from every samurai themed anime you've seen although they've thrown in a few surprises of their own.

Trailer Here since the youtube embed doesn't seem to work wwww

Despite having sworn off using the sword, our ronin dude still manages to kill people using only the hilt, so yeah. rclxms.gif

That's him being calm. Wait till you see he gets pissed.

Thanks Fyonne, fixed things on my end too. I think the trailer should be convincing enough.

@Zen

The fact I posted it here of all places should be pretty obvious enough? But yes, this is an anime. movie. about. samurais.
