Sword of the Stranger is a Japanese animated feature film directed by Masahiro Andō and produced by BONES studios. The film follows a swordsman with no name and a golden-haired assassin as circumstances draw them towards a mysterious young boy.

Yeah, the movie pretty much borrow elements from every samurai themed anime you've seen although they've thrown in a few surprises of their own.

With all that blood... nope?

Despite having sworn off using the sword, our ronin dude still manages to kill people using only the hilt, so yeah.

Ninja Scrolls had more boobs + gore.

Ninja Resurrection had tentacle raep, man-crawling-out-of-girl, youkai rape and god knows what else.

Somehow remind me of a samurai drama on NHK, where a samurai try to pull out his katana but accidentally step on a sake bottle and fell on the ground. The other samurais stabbed him to death....

It had Christians summoning the devil too. Too bad the show was never completed.

This is one of the best anime chambara movie so far.

10/10 from me. Absolutely beautiful anime with great ending.
