what are the diff between p8 and p80.....i be inform that p80 have usb slot and C.A.T.S.... cats wat for??

It actually depends on the aspect ratio of the movie.

remember that your screen is 16:9 - so movies that are encoded in 16:9 - e.g. Apocalypto will show full screen.

Others like 2.35:1 or 2.40:1 or something else will still have black bars above and below.

To me - no point to zoom as you will loose out image left and right.

Just watch it at the aspect ratio that is meant to be.

astro have 5.1???

What mode did u select when u watch astro..?
like my chaplang Sony set.. i can set to 2 channel,  5.2 or auto.
If on auto it will detect the source n set the output to speakers automatically.
Like on X360 or DVD it will go 5.2 n on astro it will go 2.2.
But if u watch astro, can also go 5.2, all u need to do is select the mode manually so that the amp will simulate 2.0 sound to 5.2 sound

nop.. nothing needs to be set on the astro box.. its all on ur amp.

Apparently, for short lengths, it doesn't matter much, but even if it does, there is another thread where someone is selling Monster Cables at much lower prices than those in stores. Don't have the link to the thread, but you should have no problem finding it using the search function. Perhaps one of the gurus here will enlighten us on cables later.

BTW, just to be curious. How much you paid for it? I got mine for 4299, but they threw in a Panasonic digicam too. Not too bad. The salesperson also wanted to give me a carton of Coke or something due to the Beijing 08 promotion, but I insist on something else (dun wanna push my blood sugar level to dire state). So he ended up giving me two big bags of Fab detergent! Lol.. not sure where those are from, but probably free gift from the washing machine section or something.
