you may find it at local guardian outlets nearby. but make sure you ask by phone call first. call that guardian outlet and ask for the item's availability. check the outlets directory:

At Ikano theres this DIY shop which sells hardware stuff. Inside the DIY shop theres this section which they separate from the other hardwares selling higher ends hardware. They have it there. I just got mine there last few months. Cost me 29.90 if i'm not mistaken. Small bottle that i can hook onto my car key chain, cobra brand, red color bottle.

The last time I saw, Guardian was selling at Rm 39.90.
But I didn't know it's not sold anymore.
Perhaps you can buy the alarm thingy? It's a little useless though.
Hmm If can you can always have homemade chilli powder. I heard that it's quite useful too. In US, one robber used that to rob a store.. lol

Or without pepper spray, u can ask ur friend to hold a umbrella, a long 1, becayse according to research, some maniac wont attack if victim has a weapon like tat in their hand.

Pepper spray can get at guardian. Don't buy the mini one. it's useless. Buy the 14 grams one... price around Rm30++

The alarm also quite good to scare off attackers.
Last year, I almost got robbed while I was walking to the LRT station. I used the alarm to scare the robber off. Just hold the alarm in your hands while walking. Its better to be well prepared.

Err... don't you think this product is rather meaningless when any thugs can bought em?

I got a friend got robbed by some rempit armed with TORCH TASER.

I've seen news girls got raped and robbed after immobillized by PEPPER SPRAY and need to struggle the irritation of her eyes while kena rape doh.gif

And last but not least, snatch theft that triggered an alarm in broad daylight amongst the crowd in a public area; everyone being indifferent and mind their own business. No more heroes or good samaritan.

So, do you think such stuff would still help? The same thing can protect and harm you as well.

Might as well get something more practical like avoiding silent alley, always travel in pairs or crowds and some martial arts to evade an attack, not for immobilizing...

my dad bought me one. This gas spray is very effective. if you spray straight to one's face/eyes, he'll giddy then collapse! Even people around(forgot how many metres away) also will being affected like tears keep on forming, giddy. but make sure you run away after you spray or else you'll kena also =)

btw, it's quite expensive which cost rm500 for 5 times spray. means everytime you spray rm100 will gone. =P

the brand is call My Keeper. and you need to apply a license for that. So in case somebody wanna sue you for that, just show them the license. ^^

Some are good but some are not. Its better to get a good one from specialist shops than guardian - i've tried spraying one and i don't think its effective.

I haven't checked in a while but all the "pepper sprays" I've seen previously were con products with very thin, weak streams, and very short ranges.

A thin, short, weak and unaimable stream of pepper spray is never going to be as effective as a cloud or aerosol.

That pepper spray will not help her.

Have you reported to the police and train station yet? These perpetrators are very likely to commit the crime again.

What if he want to kidnap, rape and then kill you? But of course he will tell you that he will stop hurting you if you stop resisting la, after walloping you around a bit, like punching your lips open.

If there is already a knife behind your waist there is nothing much anybody can do. But you should not have let yourself be in that position in the first place.

In order to commit a crime a criminal requires opportunity and proximity. You remove his ability to get either, and most criminals will look for easier prey.

I know of these few places that sells it: Mid valley (next to cinema), Pyramid (one of the levels near the ice ring), 1U( somewhere same level as British India if I've not mistaken - please ask the info counter), & Pavilion (the children level if I've not mistaken - ask the info counter at the entrance).

I hope this info helps you in someways! ^-^

Tasers are not allowed and the range is short but pepper spray is best. But only girls/women can buy. Sad for me. BTW, you can get it from Ace Hardware I am pretty sure they still have it. The Ikano Power Center Branch.

I got a pepper-spray recently with a help of my boyfriend. He actually bought one for him self and keeps it in his car. His pepper-spray looks like a lighter which I think is smart if u need to use it in an extreme situation. He got both on http://defenzo.com/. I just simply use mine as a keychain so its always next to me..

There are 5 important attributes that make this a 'GOOD & RELIABLE' pepper spray:

1. Water based
Water based O.C. (Oleoresin Capsicum) is "heavier" than aerosol/gas based hence being able to throw a further striking distance. Another added advantage is when an attacker wears a full-faced helmet (visor), this water based pepper spray will stick and linger on the edge of the visor, causing the attacker to have breathing difficulties from the vapour discharged from the O.C.

2. Safety Lock
Prevents accidental discharge inside the handbag. Twist the actuator with your THUMB to "live" position and you're ready to go. You may use short bursts or continuous depression of the actuator will fully discharge content.

3. Expiry Date
Generally, all quality pepper sprays come with an expiry date of around 3 years. This duration is dependent on the "capping technology" of the manufacturer. If the cap is not well affixed to the canister, the pressure within will leak hence rendering the unit un-useable to spray afar. The SafeGard pepper spray Expiry Date is embossed on the cap.

4. Quick release
Canister can be removed quickly from the cylindrical plastic holder in the event where the unit is attached to the bunch of car or house keys.

5. Key Ring at the base of the unit
This is by DESIGN and not by chance. Hook the ring to your last finger (pic below) and grip the canister firmly in your palm. You can also pack a good solid punch when the canister is firmly gripped. Should the user accidentally release the hold or attacker knock off the unit from your grip in a struggle, it still clings on to the last finger for quick retrieval and counter strike.

Effects :
The active ingredients causes inflammation of the eye capillaries and all other mucous membranes, resulting in immediate temporary blindness, coughing, choking and nausea with extreme discomfort for 30 to 40 minutes, with no after effects.

You can DIY at home.

what you'll need:

ground cayenne pepper
regular black pepper
ground chili pepper
lemon juice
salt
small spray bottle (a used one or one from hobby lobby)
Pepper juices (Cut tip off of the pepper, the part farthest down from the stem. The heat of a pepper is mainly in the tip)
Soap or bleach,it uber burns.

instructions:

Mix your ingredients together, You might want to mix the dry ingredients together first, then taste it to see how spicy it is, and if it's spicy enough to bring tears to your eyes then it's perfect.

Mix it with your lemon juice. It's enough to make your target want to cry like a baby.

Adding Bleach is optional but it makes it more irritating.

Put it in the spray bottle. You can get an old one that's empty but make sure its empty. If you don't have one, then you can go to Hobby Lobby or another crafts store. It should be small enough to fit in the average sized purse or backpack.

But ofc buying it would be better, this is a way for you to make it incase you couldn't find it/buy it.
