QUOTE(futobuta @ Jul 6 2008, 01:33 PM) If we're involved in such a terrible accident, i think we should be thankful we're still alive, dun care bout the repair bill.... sure claim insurance. Thats true also. But the insurance company can refuse to pay in full as the damage are done by modifications.

QUOTE(ron4 @ Jul 7 2008, 06:01 PM) Just another noob question. If i want to change my brake disc to Evo (Red color) brake / disc, suitable?, how much it will cost and will void warranty? Change the disc or change the caliper? AFAIK, there's no red coloured disc. Oh yeah, it will void your warranty.

QUOTE(eastwest @ Jul 7 2008, 11:40 PM) How much is the price? Just for suspension only? Adjustable suspension is a coilover set. Spring + Damper. There are 2 types. The cheaper one can only adjust heights while the more expensive one can adjust the height and also dampening rate (soft/hard).

QUOTE(eastwest @ Jul 8 2008, 10:34 PM) the adjustment can be done automatically, press button or how actually? hehe..noob..noob Manually using a wrench. But can try those that can be adjusted electronically, but I doubt the price would 'affordable'.

The problem when calculating FC is that the fuel station pump autostop function and nozzle length is not really the same. Thus, the inaccuracy.

QUOTE(eastwest @ Jul 10 2008, 01:26 PM) BTW, your car got this problem where I switch off the engine, the "beep-beep" sound appear becoz the key is still inside the crank. This happen with closed doors. Happen Frequently also. That features will remind you to take your keys out. QUOTE(pearjar @ Jul 10 2008, 01:28 PM) I thought the cps start to 'open' at 6K rpm. At 2.8K rpm is the IAFM. CPS open at 3.8k rpm. Try dragging in 2nd gear and feel the surge. The sound before that must be from the VIM, but there sould not be any noticeble sound from the VIM except when over 6k rpm, where it change to short 'runner'.

QUOTE(pearjar @ Jul 10 2008, 06:49 PM) About 160km/j (5.5k rpm on 5th gear) at pasir mas 'highway'... 6k rpm at 5 gear??? Not in my mind Even with 'balls of steel' you won't going to get 6k rpm on 5th gear. Most is 5.2k on 5th@185km/h.

QUOTE(pearjar @ Jul 11 2008, 12:10 PM) Why i only get 160km/j at 5.5k rpm... Need to do something... It it due to 17" rim i use...? Some said speed reading is not accurate if use bigger rim.... Your's AT or MT? Use the calculator here to calculate the spedd difference after changing rims. http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible_pg2.html

QUOTE(R.Y.D.E.C.K @ Jul 11 2008, 03:26 PM) sphiroth, its mean that changing to sportsrim make u move faster than the stock one?? i wanna rims first.. Weird. Should be much difference as the diameter (rim + tyre) didn't change much. How but in 4th gear? Should get 180km/h at 6.5k rpm...

QUOTE(mybiebie @ Jul 13 2008, 03:11 AM) sound like a lot of problems....scary.. QUOTE(Spade @ Jul 13 2008, 05:16 PM) Sounds like a lot of problem. Makes prospective buyers like me scared. QUOTE(futobuta @ Jul 13 2008, 07:38 PM) Well, most of us choose this car because of the price. For 60k, u get a new car, that has HID, leather interior, foldable mirrors. Quite a comfortable ride too. Build quality is not so good lah... depends a lot on luck. Me? I was one of the not-so-lucky ones. Hehehe.... Nvrmind lah.... cars from other makers in the same class also face qc problems (maybe not as much as proton). But you will not regret in term of performance. It will make the other problem negligible.

QUOTE(VerM @ Jul 13 2008, 09:33 PM) All the problems listed should not be taken as indication that a particular car is not a good buy. There are various other factors should be taken into account should a prospective buyer want to buy a car. Unless the percentage of the owner facing problems is significantly high, I dont think the problems mentioned here should affect your decision making. I bought my Waja CPS specifically to experience the new Campro CPS. I knew Waja have some known problems but it didn't deter me to get one for myself. The old problems gone only to be replaced with new ones. In my humble opinion, the total package offered by Waja CPS does indeed outweight the problems that I'm facing now. That is for a car under 70k. With regard to problem no 3, I read some where in this forum it has something to do with the engine emitting odd noise (vibration) when driving in the range 2500 rpm. It occurred to me just now to check it out while driving from Seri Kembangan to Ikea. It turned out the speed range 100km/h - 110km/h does indeed fall into the 2500 - 3000 rpm range. Is it the same problem? Most problem except the wind noise can be fixed during the 1k km service. For problem no.3, it never occurred to me. Maybe I'm using MT. Even if its happen, just rev until 4k rpm. I've notice that the engine run quieter/smoother at 4k rpm when traveling long distance. The only problem is the speed at that kind of RPM is 140km/h (scared speed trap )

QUOTE(eastwest @ Jul 14 2008, 08:50 AM) Hmm, my car speaker sounds like "pecah" already? Time to upgrade maybe. How about adding amplifier also. QUOTE(futobuta @ Jul 14 2008, 09:41 AM) From the beginning, there seems to be some slight problem with my audio controls on my steering wheel. Normally the volume control will work fine. But occasionally, it will skip channels instead of increasing my volume. Weird. Anyone experiencing the same thing? None encountered so far. QUOTE(R.Y.D.E.C.K @ Jul 14 2008, 10:06 AM) yeahh..i agree with sphiroth...i think, the best way to feel the car is by buying the MT...with that kind of performance n include everything..worth buying (for me)...my uncle civic 2.0 new generation is facing more problems...small2 problems like proton, like we discuss here....but bcoz of the name, honda..ppl seem to blind their eye...humm..but he didnt regret buying it bcoz the `others` factor haha... The power of 'H'.
