CPS engine is quite powerful lah. Never imagined it to be
like this. It is always so tempting to press the gas pedal
a little bit more but iph roads just don't permit such
driving habits. sigh.....

Added on June 15, 2008, 2:12 pmHow's ur car FC now? any improvement? Mine got a little improvement after doing the 2nd service...car still running with old price fuel brows.gif
*
Still no improvement on my FC. Maybe that's because i fill up my tank once
every 2 weeks. Hehehe... damn slow lah.... 1 month baru only reach 1k mileage.
Tomorrow will be my first service. Was bz trying to iron out all the 'nyet-nyet' sound
in my new Waja.. but till today, no results... been to the service centre for 3 times
last week but.... Anyway, trying to live with it now. But just not satisfied that a new
car should have all those 'extra' sound.
Any advice on my first service? Wat oil n stuff that i should replace?

Its not about the 'less hassle' factor, its about the 'visibility'. The steering lock is more visible than other king of lock, so it serve as a good deterrent.  laugh.gif
*
Yeah.. i bought a few steering locks... knn... wasted so much money.
Bought the first few, too small for waja's big fat steering... cry.gif

The RM602 all 4 sets? If all 4 sets then it's quite cheap.. can get further discount if we bought in large qty.. if can have to "racun" all here to change to R3  hmm.gif
*
The R3 suspension is stiffer? Then it'll be a bumpier ride lah.
That means, more 'nyit-nyit', 'nyet-nyet', 'tok-tok' sounds ah?
Hehehe.... It voids warranty doesn't it? So, this means I'll
have to wait for how many yrs before i can install this?

The balance for comfort and performance is just nice (for me lah). Every person got difference interpretation on this, so it kinda hard to describe.  sweat.gif

The sound comes from the front fender, already existed while my car still stock.  laugh.gif

It will not void your warranty, but I've already using aftermarket rims, so it doesn't matter. Most probably void already.  brows.gif
*
U mean, your front fender also got sound ah? Mine too... from the very beginning.
Anyway, after numerous trips to the service center.... now a lot less.
I'm just worried that after changing to stiffer settings, it might make it worse.

The opened up my left fender to find the source of the 'nyet-nyet' sound on the front left side of the car. They tightened some nuts but the sound still there. They lubricated the absorbers n stuff like that still tak boleh. Then then send my car to some panel beating shop to tighten some welding points (that was wat they told me). But STILL got 'nyet-nyet' when i went over uneven roads or when i turn suddenly. Damn..
Then one day, i open the bonnet and started to fiddle with the things inside. There was this bunch of cables running near the left firewall. When i push them a bit, there was this familiar 'nyet-nyet' sound. So i got them tightened n reduce their freeplay, now a lot less noise.. but once in a while still got.

Sorry guys....for barging without any intro!! Heheheheee.......my comments a bit harsh is it!! Veli soli....much much soli....

Anyway, here a link to something nice for our Waja CPS but not sure whether this thing fit or not to be use in our waja cps T-Rex Steering Lock! Any comments from the expert here.

By the way, Im a newbie here lor aka 2 post oni maaaa...........just bought a new CPS waja by the color of bronze garnet, plate no SAA(My ic no)U. Just received my car last week with a lots of defects....painting got cracks, dashboard compartment lever a bit stiff, one of the shaft below the engine edy rust!! Huhuhuuuuuu ask them to fix triple edy.....seem like they r not comitted to do the repair! I think i got the first badge waja leh cos the excise 7 no of my car stated wajxxxxx/03/08, which i assume is a march stock rather then may, eventhough when i book the car on end of april they insist there is no stock later suddenly stock appear from no where. Hopefully not cheated by the SA lor.......

How do u feel driving ur waja cps....mine, it seem like i need to press the oil pedal a bit longer b4 the car pickup power up (what i mean is the car is slowly speeding then suddenly the car vroommmmmm - power kick in)!!! Does every one here feel the same???I just wanna know whether this is normal or something wrong with the engine!!

cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif

I'm also using the T-Rex steering lock. But not the baseball bat type because i was worried that it might not fit our super thick steering.
I didn't really look under the engine to see if there are any rust points...
Sometimes when a dealer has no stock, they'll nego with other dealers to get one lah... see got cable strong or not only. laugh.gif
So far, my Waja's performance is satisfactory. Compared to my Wira, it needs to be revved a bit higher to get the juice coming. But once it comes, my Wira no fight lah... But the Waja cannot beat my stock Wira's super duper low centre of gravity. thumbup.gif

Hi Guys. I test drove my car with the service advisor from EON Glenmarie, complaining on the same creaking sound when I negotiate a turn. Immediately he identified it to be the front stabilizer bar and said it was "common" for CPS models. After they took my car in and rectified it, the sound was gone. So, if we're talking bout the same noise guys, I guess it must be the stabilizer bar.
*
Front stabilizer bar ah? Your noise, which part does it come from? Mine is the front left side.
Could it be the stabilizer bar? What adjustments did they do? What should i tell the service centre guy?

Called up the service centre guy n requested them to check on my dashboard (especially) the passenger airbag area because i hear the knocking noise coming from there. But he kept denying it.... and refused to open n see... I sense that there might be something loose in the left side of the dashboard. Damn..... what can i do?

haiyak, my one already complaint during the 1st service. they put in the resit 'FIXED' but on da way back i still can hear the kreak2 sound.. now its become worst.. the sound are louder than before. would check during 5K service (even though my car laready reached 7k)... heheh
i just realized that my dashboard also make sound when reached 2.5 - 3 rpm.. so noisy.. some more my auto lock does not functioning.. after 10sec, the car still not auto lock..

btw, on my driver side mirror got sticker from service center wrote: next oil change : 10000k.. is that mean i need not to go for 5k service as i do the 1k service when my meter was 2.5k (got some urgent need to drive back kulim-kl-kelantan-kulim that time)..

suddenly i feel really frustrated with proton.. this is my 1st car, but it not given a good impression to me.. huhuhu..
*
I understand how u feel. I'm in the same situation as well. Very very frustrated. And angry at myself for not listening to advices from frens to not buy proton cars. mad.gif

Here's a pic of them fixing the fender bar onto my CPS Waja. Note the front strut as well. Couldn't take the photo of the front lower arm bar.
