both is stable .. it can run fine
but i think SMSD have problem synchronizing with iphone's sms program
when you open SMSD to read your sms, it will be "marked" as read but iphone's original app will still marked as new SMS.
so each time after reading, you will see the number icon on your original sms app.

For forward sms program :

Step One : Press the Installer icon on your Springboard to launch it.
Step Two : Press to select the Sources tab at the bottom of the screen.
Step Three : Press the Edit button at the top right of the screen.
Step Four: Press the Add button at the top left of the screen.
Step Five : Set the source url to http://app.weiphone.com/installer then press
the large OK button.
Step Six: Press the Done button at the top right of the screen.
Step Seven : Press the Install tab at the bottom of the screen.
Step Eight : then after done look for software call "Wetool"

Yeah, my iSMS reads the names as well. Works fine. I installed 'Phone # to name fix' that solved that issue. At least I think that was the app that solved that issue. I've installed so much crap in this iPhone that I can't remember what app was for what!

here is the steps to make the smsd works in 1.1.4

1) install SMSD version 0.2.1 through the Installer repository of STE Packaging;
2) download SMSD version 0.2.3beta1 from http://amrut.joshi.googlepages.com/
3) establish an SSH connection with your iPhone;
3) overwrite the installed SMSD.app with the SMSD. app from the folder you downloaded; and
4) restart your iPhone.

That's what I did on my 1.1.4 iPhone, and it worked for me. :-)

SMSD for 1.1.4 now doesn't require SSH. smile.gif
Try adding http://repo.sosiphone.com to yr sources, and look for SMSD Fr (it's an English version).

That particular app was a fix only for 1.1.1 though.

Hi, I installed iSMS with installer and works great, can detect names too. BUT now my phone doesn't make alert sounds when I receive sms. Don't even vibrate too.

Anyone know how to fix this problem? I am not using iSMS with SBHelper on, because I still want to use the default iPhone sms app. I am running 1.1.4.

Thanks to anyone who can advise.

If you are scared that your iphone got problem, then go and get the original SE phone.
No point buying something you like and scared that it will be problematic.
Go and buy something that you enjoy using it. It is your hard earned money.

Between iSMS and SMSD, which one has a nicer interface?

I find that iSMS is a bit boring, and my iphone has been lagging since I installed it. Anyone got the same problem?
