Yeah, SMSD doesnt work on mine too. So am using weTool. It serves its purpose so far. Another app that you could look into is iSMS.

Cheers

Surprisingly, the names show on mine. Maybe you can try to install AppSupport Patch.

what version of weTool r u using? One thing i don't like about weTool is dat it can't forward long SMS. It will get truncated.

here is the steps to make the smsd works in 1.1.4

1) install SMSD version 0.2.1 through the Installer repository of STE Packaging;
2) download SMSD version 0.2.3beta1 from http://amrut.joshi.googlepages.com/
3) establish an SSH connection with your iPhone;
3) overwrite the installed SMSD.app with the SMSD. app from the folder you downloaded; and
4) restart your iPhone.

That's what I did on my 1.1.4 iPhone, and it worked for me. :-)

SMSD for 1.1.4 now doesn't require SSH. smile.gif
Try adding http://repo.sosiphone.com to yr sources, and look for SMSD Fr (it's an English version).

Darkangel. Just to be sure. Refresh source in installer then select All Packages and look for iSMS and install accordingly?

Add this source to your installer:
http://iphone.nonsoft.com/repo/

Then in the installer, go to All Packages. look for iSMS(Snapshot)

that's the one you need to install
